    EMP E41-B for $209

Sounds like you implemented them well. In a large room, I'd want to employ 2 subs placed in close proximity and crossed over to the 41s at 100Hz. That kind of setup, running stereo subs, would be pretty awesome for sure. I love them as nearfield monitors b/c they are so detailed and clean...

These speakers are not well suited for large rooms. They really should be used as nearfield monitors.

    Emotiva UPA-5 vs UPA-500

The UPA500 and UPA200 are identical except the UPA500 has 5 channels and the UPA200 has 2 channels. They have the exact same power transformer and capacitor bank. I am currently reviewing the UPA500 and will post the review in a couple of weeks.

Home Theater Multiple Subwoofer Set-Up & Calibration Guide

not necessarily flat, but more even response across more seats. Flat is NOT pleasing sounding in a real room. You want elevated low end response as Frequency goes down and tapered off response as frequencies go up. A flat line from 20Hz to 20kHz (which is impossible to achieve in a real room)...

Emotiva XPR-5 Five-Channel Reference Power Amplifier Preview

You're forgetting this amp is compatible with a 220V/20A line. The only way it can deliver the rated power continuously is on an ideal bench test where the line voltage is held constant. This can be said about any high power amp and it was said in the following article I wrote: The All...

    EMP E56ci CC

What are your mains and surround speakers being used? I installed an E56Ci and found it to be around -2dB less efficient than the E55Ti towers. EMP speakers will NOT be as efficient as your Def Techs but as long and you use an SPL meter to level match all of your speakers, you should be fine...

You need to compare SNR between amps at the same power levels and same weighing filtering. This is why I like to scale all power amps SNR figures down to 1 watt where the amp idles most of the time anyways. I will measure SNR on the new Emo amp like I've done with all other amps. The XPA amps...

I'm with you. I love Vbulletin. But VB4.0 has been plagued with issues since Internet Brands took it over. Their support doesn't seem as good. We were gonna wait for VB5.0 but don't have a lot of confidence in it. Xenforo has some really cool features from our research, including SEO...

    EMP E41-B for $209

I asked RBH to start shipping these with port plugs since most people use them on a desktop close to a back wall. The black ring near the phase plug is an improvement to reduce turbulence from the air gap of the phase plug. RBH's $50k/pair Status 8T's also do this with their Beryllium phase...

If you only have 4 speakers, you should plug two of them to the Main front channels and two of them to the surround channels of your receiver. Then turn off the center and surround back channels. Calibrate the 4 speakers using the internal test tones and an SPL meter. You can run 4CH stereo...
