Our measurements are far more detailed than those of Stereophile and we don't see any issues you're concerned about in the spacing of the drivers. In fact, it's one of the best measuring speakers we've ever reviewed.

The main L/R channels don't have the increased distortion at the preamp level. However, ALL channels have higher distortion (70dB SINAD) regardless of input level drive.

I tried different HDMI inputs and the problem persisted. I have probably close to 100 measurements I've captured but only published a fraction of them in the report.

It depends on your needs. Denon doesn't have the channel count or advanced bass routing. It's sad that some people think they can equate product performance to a single SNR measurement.

You're probably right. However there is likely a Opamp buffer stage between the pre and power amp causing higher distortion in the amp section than there should be. Again likely not audible but academic nonetheless.

Damn man, you beat me to the scheduled release for tomorrow. There are some pretty significant things that need to be addressed and Yamaha is already planning changes in the next gen models as a result.

Thanks for posting this. I've had the software for a couple of months, just no chance to test yet. Please try to enter the PEQ/FIR manual filters without running Audyssey to see if it will let you do that. I'm hopeful it will which would allow for quick manual calibration which would be awesome.
