    Um....What? I Need HELP

Testing EACH speaker INDIVIDUALLY * Patterns were the same whether I had Audyssey on or off (no EQ). Both resulted in huge dips. The tests below were done with NO EQ Center Channel from 1 meter 5kHz: 82dB 6.3kHz: 65dB 8kHz: 46dB Left & Right (indiviually tested) from 1 meter 5kHz: 84dB...

    Um....What? I Need HELP

Sorry...I thought I posted the pic of my corrected/calibrated readings. I guess not though. Here they are corrected: I'm going to test the speakers individually right now. Good idea. I'm trying to remember how to make a graph in Excel to see what it looks like lol

Emptek e5ti or Aperion Intimus 6T

Anyone see a HUGE gap in the market for a nice, quality sub at about $400-450? The pb-1000 is great and all and digs deep, but likely not at great spl's (going to look at the spl charts on it after I type this and compare to some others). Below that everything is very peaky in the 40+ range...

WTB: Dual Subs (Located in Oklahoma City)

I have a pair of Klipsch rw-12d's, but I'd like to get into a pair of LFM1-ex's, PSA xs15's or xv15's, etc.

    Um....What? I Need HELP

How can I tell those things? I can take pictures if that'd be helpful Measurements are from the LP about 11-12' away. Setup is 11' speaker distance apart and slightly longer than that to the LP. In the original post my measurements are from the main listening position, but I posted some from...

    Um....What? I Need HELP

True to some extent, but that doesn't explain the huge dips from 1kHz and up ya know

    Um....What? I Need HELP

Yeah I've thought about getting an Omnimic or something cheap that works well and DL'ing REW. I don't have a laptop so that's a pain, but maybe I could find one cheap. I'm amazed by the HUGE dips I'm getting though. And my bass (dual rw-12d's) drops off very very quickly after 40hz. This is in...

    Um....What? I Need HELP

Could this be an AVR issue? Weird thing is that they don't sound like the SPL numbers suggest. So maybe the SPL meter is bad?

    Um....What? I Need HELP

So for awhile now I've been wondering why my AVR is having to boost my top end so much.....and why I feel like I'm not getting any lower end content (40hz and under) in my room. I felt maybe I'm just expecting too much bass that low and just went with it, not to mention I don't get to listen or...

Bowers & Wilkins CM5 - not that great?

So you need 5.215 ohms (Min.) to have a 6 ohm nominal correct? Wouldn't the dip up top not really matter much? The dip at 500hz surely hurts worse, but how bad? Red line at 5.215 ohms (roughly)

Bowers & Wilkins CM5 - not that great?

On that note...I saw Pearl Jam live a few nights ago. Awesome! They played a 31 song set list. Started at 8:30 and played until 11:45pm

Bowers & Wilkins CM5 - not that great?

They're okay....:) On the off chance that you're located near or in OKC you can come have a listen They do need a small boost on the top end (any avr eq or stand alone eq will do that most likely). I've contacted EMP to see if they can change the crossover to add a db or 2 to the tweeter (or...

    EMP Black Friday Sale!

Wall mount it! It's simple and cheap. Here's the mount I used: Adjustable Tilting Wall Mount Bracket for LCD LED Plasma (Max 165 lbs, 30~63 inch), BLACK, UL Certified - Monoprice.com Works great, looks great, etc. Not as slim as some of the slim models, but it didn't matter for my...

Bowers & Wilkins CM5 - not that great?

The Ascends should be just fine for music...except I would scratch the center for now (if that's all you have in your budget at the moment) and just do a pair of 340's and a sub. Or you could look at something like the ARX a1b or a2c (as mains)...or EMP e5's...or the NHT's Acu posted about...

    EMP Black Friday Sale!

Thanks Marshall. I forgot about that. Now I need to find some numbers for the rw-12d lol. I guess I could do them myself, but I'm not sure which correction numbers to use for my Ratshack digital SPL meter :(

Bowers & Wilkins CM5 - not that great?

^ Those look nice. I've always thought about just getting some monitors and a few beastly subs at one point Or if you want towers...EMP's black friday sale is going on. The e55's are just stupid for the price they are and especially the price they are over black friday.

    EMP Black Friday Sale!

Yeah I know! I wish they still have the E-41b. I'd snatch them up for a PC setup Let me get that real quick.... Edit: Grador, the point at which the height is 7.5" front the front is just shy 3.75" front the front baffle (4" with the grille on). So you'd only have that much sticking out...
