I never cease to be amazed at the human capacity for ignorance and denying evidence. For example, there are actually still alledgedly "educated" adults who believe that the Earth is only 4,000 years old!:eek: Not believing in the reality of global warming is almost that bad.:(

A couple of my CD boxed sets (Talking Heads and Bjork) are "DualDiscs" with a surround side. I have listened to them, and they do nothing for me. The stereo side is plenty good enough.

Again, this could be a purely technical improvement, but not likely an audible one. The resolution of the standard CD already surpasses that of the human ear by a pretty wide margin.

Agreed. I still remember people being "shocked" when they learned he was gay, but I fail to see how they couldn't have known it all along. It always seemed perfectly obvious to me (being the leader of an all-male band called "Queen" should be the first clue!;)) Of course, it is irrelevant...

CDs sound so perfect to me that, while it might be possible to improve on the measured performance, I cannot imagine the result sounding better.

Plasma comes the closest to matching the picture quality of a good, direct-view CRT. It still has a ways to go yet, though.

The four original Brian Eno solo albums still hold up pretty well, weirdness wise. I will always remember playing Baby's On Fire for some freinds back in college. They were staring at me open-mouthed and going "what the **** was that?!:eek:"
