    Banana Plugs

The monster cable that i bought came with the speaker clip terminals. I tried using them in the clamp and they didnt fit very snug. I cut the ends off last night and used bare speaker wire to the speakers. I am waiting to decide on how i am doing the receiver end till i get my HK. It should be...

    Banana Plugs

i might check out the orange for banana plugs. The ones i bought are too small to accomodate the 12 guage monster cable i am running. Oh well...thats why i only spent $5 on them. Whats the website do you know?

    Infinity Floorstanders for under $225...

the packing i use is high density to keep the sound down. It should be plenty dense...i will check though. I beleive it was mineral wool or some kind of fiber strand.

excellent. I might go for it, it might not. I am sure mineral wool is just like muffler packing in dirtbikes. Which i have readily available:D And the press and seal wont be hard to find. If i decide to and i have an problems i will post up. I will also post up the results if i do. It is still...

    Definitive Technology Speakers

was over at ultimate electronics last night listening around. I have to admit, out off the room i was in, they by far sounded the best. But it was only music playing. I think some of the others were mirage, some higher end klipsch, cheaper KEFs, and some cheap primus infinity bookshelfs. I think...

    Infinity Floorstanders for under $225...

wow, you must really like what you do. I am truly impressed by your aptitude to make these speakers. I now understand that unless i want to invest a lot of time and money, my primus 250's wouldnt yield the same results. I guess the time is better spent at the desk at work making overtime to buy...

    Modding the Primus series speakers

thats why i am asking so many questions. It looks like a tedious project to pull off.

    Modding the Primus series speakers

I highly doubt that it would cost a grand. The project seems like a challenging one. I was wondering, do you put this insulation on the front (speaker deck) of the enclosure too (on the inside of course)? If so, how would it be secured or whatnot. Would it be hard to make the openings arouns...

    Modding the Primus series speakers

Im not so sure if there is such a thing as overkill in the speaker enclosure world, but i am thinking this would be excessive for such a speaker.

I will have my views and others will have theirs. Lets leave it at that. If its more important to have speaker stature than living at home till your 35, then so be it. I know some are well off enough to afford something like this, and more power to them. I, at the moment am not. I am focused on...

    Modding the Primus series speakers

Your alright, good questions in relation to my thread. But i would think that it would be useless to mod from the outside other than make it sturdier. The sound deadening material wouldn't be ver sound deadending if there was a layer of wood on the inside to still resonate. Just my opinion...

    Modding the Primus series speakers

I myself think that modding a speaker is a good idea compared to making it from scratch. Think of all the time, research, and measuring tools that they impliment into building any speaker of decent quality. Many people do not have these tools. If you start with something that already has a good...

    Infinity Floorstanders for under $225...

Just as you and i have swaying values of what we want in life, others have swaying value of what something is worth. The total costs to make them B&W's is most likely a very small percentage of what they cost. You may use your knowledge of speakers as assertion, but that will not change my...
