Oh yea, in case you haven't looked in the boring thread lately, I'm loving the Roku. The GF and I just started watching Downton Abbey on Amazon prime

Glad to see and hear you like them. I might get the Roku 3 later on. Are you getting Nexflix in 5.1 DD+ with the Roku? I like the interface on Amazon Prime on my Roku. The one on my Sony needs to be updated it's old looking and not very functional.

This is the first one I've ever seen or used so I'm not sure how the Roku 3 compares to the other models. I don't have Netflix, so I couldn't tell you about 5.1 there, but I'm getting it through Amazon. Since you mentioned you have that I'm guessing you knew that already. I'm no fan of Netflix do to some CS stuff I dealt with when I had it in college, but for $8/month it's a heck of a lot cheaper than VUDU so I'm slowly weakening to the prospect.

I agree, I had/have Amazon Prime through my Panny, but the interface is awful. I used to use my computer to browse and find what I wanted so I could just do a search for it on the TV interface.

I don't think they ever compared them. I like both, but I'd say when I called Netflix about the 5.1(get stereo only) issue they blamed Roku and Roku blamed Netflix. I watch them on my Sony BD for both and they both are 5.1. Welcome! Have you bought anything lately?

I had to spring on the Roku, because even though it wasn't prime shipping, the price was lower than Amazon's and there was no tax, which made it a no brainer for me. Plus, the Roku 3 went from $89.99 to $98. At the current price I saved ~$24 and it only took 3 days to get to me.
