399$ 50 inch HDTV Positive reviews on several forums. Black levels and colors are said to be great. I might pick one up: Insignia 50" Class 4912" Diag. LCD 1080p 120Hz HDTV NS-50L260A13 - Best Buy

If I'm not mistaken that's the larger model of the same tv my old man has at the alley. If I'm right I can say that TV is definitely worth $400 and I may show him that deal because we always need another at the alley.

My Dad owns a bowling alley . I was just there yesterday watching it. I wasn't really analyzing it, but with HD cable it looked pretty darn good without running any calibration discs. I wouldn't have a problem recommending them in the price range. Besides, $400 for a 50" TV is a pretty good deal any day of the week.
