I don't know how I missed that - perhaps it was time zone factors. The thread was there for a day and slid down to the second page with no replies. It was there by itself in the evening but gone the next morning. Again, weird...

Clinical to me means a long finger in a rubber glove with a deep voice saying - well never mind.

Which unfortunately reminds me, my annual physical is coming up...

I always thought "clinical" meant that it sounded exactly like the original source - textbook perfect. :D

.... As opposed to "colored".

P360, FS52, now T model, when is this going to end? Similar smell, similar hypes, just different price points.

Exactly. :D

Just another brick in the wall. :D

Except the P363 and FS52 are more traditional and politically correct in their designs. :)

I agree the P363 and FS52 have probably been over hyped. I am not seeing any such hype with the T, just one person that I've given no credence.

Update on Stedanko

James Tanner of Bryston just emailed me and verified Stedanko is in fact not a Bryston dealer nor does he have any affiliation with the company. My apologies for jumping the gun here as his postings under multiple monikers on various forums seemed a bit suspect to me.

Just wanted to clear that up. I'm also lifting the ban on Stedanko should he decide to continue posting here.

After the drama yesterday, I thought back and realized that his pic of his Model T looked pretty legit to me. The whole situation left me quite confused last night.

Nice to see that it is cleared up now & I hope that Sted comes back. I would like to hear more of his T experiences as he seems to be the only one that owns them and posts at least for the moment.

Hopefully he will get a PM advising of the update on his status...

What more do you want to hear?

He already said the Bryston is in fact better than the Salon2, KEF 207/2, Linkwitz Orion, and about every speaker out there.

It's not just his personal preference, but a fact.

We get that he doesn't regret his $10K purchase, but I think most of us have heard just about enough of how these Bryston T are the best. :D

They are the best - for him.

But I guess that you're right, we've probably heard enough pros & cons...

You are right and I realized that too base on posts right here at AH, but I took into consideration the hypes elsewhere, such as several "professional" reviews. Likewise, Stereophile also said enough to elevate expectation of the lower priced Pioneer/AJ speakers. I think people expect a lot more from a 6,500 to 8,000 dollar speakers though. May be the Bryston does sound better than what some of us may think, but I find it hard to believe they can sound better than KEF 207/1 and the Salon2. More likely they won't even come close, aside from perhaps the low bass.

It would have been a little more (just a little) believable if they had choosen to use the Focals' Beryllium tweeter instead of Axiom's, though a lot of us probably couldn't hear much above 12K anyway.

If the glowing posts were toned down a little, I probably would have done a search and have seen the good reviews these speakers have gotten on a couple of websites. My bad for getting annoyed at the posts and not doing my own legwork.

That's fair, and thanks for being so transparent. This is one of the main reasons why I like this forum so much. I am sure he (or anyone else of course) could still be banned for another reason in the future if he offered a valid one.:D

I'm sure that's what most of us are thinking. :D

It would be completely understandable if he had just said that he preferred the sound of the Bryston T.

But to pontificate that they are unequivocally superior is perhaps a bit presumptuous and probably culpable. :D

PENG:

As we all know, speakers can sound better or worse than others depending on the listener and their preferences. While measurements are important, in the end it's nothing but subjective to the customers' hearing. What's sounds best to you will not sound necessarily sound the best to someone else.

Fortunately for us, there is a huge choice in product out there - more than ever it seems...

The way you put it I do not disagree, but please read ADTG's post#337 as I can't express myself better than that..

Thanks. Anyone who knows me knows that I am the first to admit when I am wrong. Believe me my wife can attest that I make such omissions to her on a daily basis ;)
