I love speaker demoing. (I've heard over 100 different models.) I would be willing to hear the Bryston Model T, but my position on them wont change much. It might evolve from "they are ridiculously overpriced" to "they sound great, but they are ridiculously overpriced."

BTW, I've heard the Salon 2, the KEF reference line, and the KEF Blade.

We differ in that I find their price ridiculously cheap having spent many times that for speakers. I consider them one of the great bargains in the high end.
Different people have different priorities as to how they spend their money and I respect that.

Monk and I find the price ridiculously overpriced, no matter how good they sound, because we've experienced some tremendous ID brands. Between ID and DIY and coming from that reference point, they are indeed ridiculously over priced. That being said, if you or anyone else has the money and loves the sound, power to ya

Then you are frightfully unaware of what costs are incurred by companies to bring products to market.
Take a look at the drivers in a typical Wilson and their MSRP. To have a viable high end we need financially strong companies not everyone wants to putz around in a garage to create "speakers".

I would have hoped a person as vocal as you are would have owned/heard at least the Wilson or Focal.

That was just a figure of speech. Yes, I have heard the Sasha and one of my cousins own the Grande Utopia.

I'm just saying with so many great speakers out there, the Bryston is just another speaker on the market.

A speaker this expensive with vinyl and two tweeters is mind boggling.

I think having a cheap system like you do is foolish for something we all derive such pleasure from.
Frankly if I had to listen to a system like that I'd feel VERY ripped off but hey that's just me. ;-)

I don't think it's foolish that you spent 6.5k on a pair of speakers, I think it's foolish that you spent 6.5k on a speaker with vinyl and two tweeters. Bryston said to its customers "Here is the industry standard at this pricepoint, we're gonna give you less!" And people ate it up. It makes no sense to me. Why pay 6.5 when you can pay 3k? Again, I have no animosity towards you and if you are happy with the T I'm happy for you, but it doesn't change the fact that the T's have the value of a $10 pack of gum.

The Philharmonic 2 represents an excellent value. I would happily put it up against the Model T. Especially in the treble.

Hopefully by then my Phils will be in my garage. If so, you are welcome to hear them. I have power to the damn thing but it needs to be cleaned. Unfortunately, this is out of my control...

Right now they are still in my living room with tile floor. Unfortunately, the room is too reverberant and I can't put up treatments. The room makes lyrics a tad hard to understand sometimes. This wasn't a problem when they were in my room, but the soundstage is much larger in the living room so it was worth the move. When I put them in the garage I'll either have floor and ceiling treatments or carpet and ceiling treatments.

Not sure about the vinyl thing other than perhaps they use high end vinyl, but yeah the two tweeters is mind boggling considering the $80,000 XRT2K has 40, the $6500 T model should have at least 3 so we are short changed by at least 1 tweeter. So come on Mr. Tanner please add one more in your next version, Model T2 or whatever.
