Why are the new recievers not built as well as the old ones
What are your issues with newer ones? Why are the new recievers not built as well as the old ones
seems like quite the generalization with no back up. Exactly the kind of thing that's frowned upon here. Any facts or statistics to back it up?They don't have the same punch as the old ones
Probably has more to do with speakers or room acoustics than just the amp.Yamaha amp my old one vs the brother inlaws new 595 same everything accept avr I get crystal clear powerful sound where he has a crap quality sound
What amp do you have? How old is it, and how much did it cost new?Yamaha amp my old one vs the brother inlaws new 595 same everything accept avr I get crystal clear powerful sound where he has a crap quality sound
Define "old".Why are the new recievers not built as well as the old ones
Oh, gee. I'm at a loss for why a higher end receiver performs better than a ~$600 HTIB.RX-v2095 abit over $5000 about 6 years ago
MSRP on that was $1695 when it first came out. Your brothers was $499. And since you edited, the v1000 was $999, for anyone looking for a reference,RX-v2095 abit over $5000 about 6 years ago
That's the funny thing he payd 1300 for his amp and was told its out performs the rx-v2095 and others from around this time pireodOh, gee. I'm at a loss for why a $5000 receiver performs better than a ~$600 HTIB.
Maybe in your country I'mMSRP on that was $1695 when it first came out. Your brothers was $499.
In some ways, it will outperform it - it has more features, for example. That's the funny thing he payd 1300 for his amp and was told its out performs the rx-v2095 and others from around this time pireod
Those prices are from the states, where most of the members here are from. It gives people a solid point of reference. Either way, just because a sales man (who's making commission) said that power wise a $500 avr would outperform a $1700 avr from 5 years ago doesn't make it true.Maybe in your country I'm

How exactly did you bench test them? What equipment did you use, what procedures, and what were the RMS and peak results? It's just funny as I bench tested his amp in the sound proofed sheed of Myn and I also tested his the old vs new old 1 new 0 in crystal clear sound!! Old 1 new 0 in power wise....
Normally I can figure it out but this? I'm at a loss. AVR's maybe? if he has some sort of auto correct on.these new Amos
