hey guys thank you. it says right on the box "one digital input-one digital output. i can not find them. i will get a new dvd and try that. thanks guys ps i will be calling monday asap ,and if nothing else i will give them a mouth full.

Mandy,dont feel to bad about it all. It was a quick and brutal introduction into the world of home theater,and you probably learned more than most in a matter of hours because of the technical issues you had. If i would have seen the thread earlier,i could have helped immediately with it because i have personally seen this very same system as of a week ago. A co-worker of mine bought the same system and had trouble getting it to work....He knew of my forays into home theater and live audio so i told him to bring it in and i'd look at it and see whats going on....sure enough,no digital inputs. Not only did he get taken for the $300 bucks on the system,but now he had to go out and buy a new dvd player with 5.1 multi ch outs just to make it work ! Your problem sounds like it has been solved with the help of a few others in here,and hopefully this wont ruin any future ideas on expanding your system.

Hello I recently recieved a theater research TR-501 mind you I did research on the internet and I cannot find another 1 like it, the amp I had and been using for 3years that I had went bad stopped working I still have the sub and box but I cannot find a replacement plate amp anywhere any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Note the tr 501 is 700 watt 5.1channel

ok i am new here, hello all. i bought a tr-501 out of a van for $200 how bad did i mess up? can i make this thing work? it does not have a co-ax hookup. i can post a picture of the back of it if it will help. i can only get the wolfer and two sattlite speakers to work.

I guess it is all over the NET, that that unit is a total scam sold by crooks. It can also do severe damage to anything connected to it. So I guess you messed up pretty bad, and its ready for the recycling center before the sun sets.

Woo! Brought back a 7 year old thread...

Read through this thread.. This system isn't worth your time. Toss them in the can and come back with a good budget. We'll help you replace them!
