Mandy,dont feel to bad about it all. It was a quick and brutal introduction into the world of home theater,and you probably learned more than most in a matter of hours because of the technical issues you had. If i would have seen the thread earlier,i could have helped immediately with it because i have personally seen this very same system as of a week ago. A co-worker of mine bought the same system and had trouble getting it to work....He knew of my forays into home theater and live audio so i told him to bring it in and i'd look at it and see whats going on....sure enough,no digital inputs. Not only did he get taken for the $300 bucks on the system,but now he had to go out and buy a new dvd player with 5.1 multi ch outs just to make it work ! Your problem sounds like it has been solved with the help of a few others in here,and hopefully this wont ruin any future ideas on expanding your system.
