Upgrade Klipsch Quintet SL to Polk Monitor II's?

In 2008, I bought the Klipsch Quintet SL set, and have enjoyed them (with the exception of low vocals from the center channel). Newegg is having a deal on the Polk Monitor Series II M60 ($100 each).

What I'm trying to figure out is if an upgrade from the Quintet SL to the Polk Monitor Series M6 would be a true upgrade in performance, or just a matter of personal preference (Klispch vs Polk).

Some additional info: I'll be running the speaker setup in a 16x13 living room in an apartment. Receiver is a Yamaha RX-V667, and my subwoofer is a very old and discontinued Yamaha YST-SW320.

If it were me I'd save up longer for better speakers rather than spend money on low end Polks. Something like 3x Ascend CBM-170SE bookshelves will set you back $560 shipped or better yet 3x CMT-340SE for $900 shipped. The front 3 Quintet SLs could make a nice start on a bedroom system so they don't need to go to waste.

In the meantime I'd invest $35 in a SPL meter and double check the speaker levels because auto setup routines do not always get them right.

The Pioneers look really good. I may go into BB to give them a listen. If I grab the L/R/C channels, could I shift my existing L/R channels to rear? Or would it be better to pair with the Pioneer rears?

You can use you Klipsch front L/R as surrounds. > You may find
in the future, that you will desire the BS22 for surrounds.

If you listen to a lot of surround music, then start with the BS22
as surrounds.

Yep, you'll be OK with those as surrounds for now. If you listen to multichannel music, you may feel the need to upgrade to matching surrounds, but see how it goes with what you already have.
