3K MSRP.

No one pays MSRP.
True.

If you can get ~30% off, I would definitely go with the Revels. :D

Also, I would go with the C208.

If you can get 35% off of the center + Towers, the total would be $3055. You'd have $945 for receiver + sub. :)

Why would you be wary of trying that (for free) with Aperion but not Bostons? Aperion makes fine loudspeakers, as does Boston, but the Aperion are much more sensitive.
I am leery of Aperion I hear a lot of people disappointed with the 4 and 5's... Their new lines are going to have to prove themselves for a little while...
I understand they are free to try, but when you put them next to the sale focals and bostons, Im going to guess the pale.... Time will tell, just personally I dont feel good about them... To me aperion is the walmart of id...

They're pretty much a brand new speaker so it's doubtful anyone has them here yet. But Kevin Voecks, the Lead Designer for Revel, knows what he's doing and i've really got no doubt those speakers sound just outstanding. If you can audition them that's a very good route to take.

Who sells them that would have a good deal?
What's your zip code?

If you go to the Revel site, you can find a dealer near you that has them available for audition. If you like them, you can negotiate a price. I assume since it's new a good amount of dealers will start to carry them. You can usually get a good chunk off MSRP. You can even call dealers out of your area and have them ship 'em. :)

Well, the F208 is 4.5K MSRP so you'd be limited to 2.0, or 2.1 if you can get a good chunk off.

You can use them all around, but generally people get bookshelf speakers for rears to reduce cost, as the rears don't play nearly as much content as the front three. :)

So what do you think of this set up
Denon 3312
Revel F206
Revel M105
Revel C208
ULS-15 Dual Drive
Yes i know i would end up a little over budget but would it be worth it

The F208 should have some definite advantages, but it wouldn't be cheap :p

The M105 is probably overkill for a surround.. though I don't know how much it'd cost you to be honest. My advice would be to evaluate the cost before anything else, as surrounds don't get nearly the workout that fronts do. I think these:

EMP Tek E41 Bookshelf Speaker would do nicely as a surround speaker.

... And I would probably step up to the Denon 431x series of receivers as they have audyssey xt32

... and I would toss in one of these:

Crown XLS 1500 | Sweetwater.com

:D ;)

But yeah.. besides that, that setup you came up with sounds wicked.

This seems to be the closest dealer to you:

As far as getting a good deal, I guess you'd just have to shop around. I know AcuDefTechGuy got his Revels for a pretty good discount, so maybe discuss it with him via PM ;P

I would personally steer clear of those kind of """surround""" speakers with multiple tweeters and woofers. I know some people prefer the "Effect" they provide but i'm not convinced it's very accurate. That it costs more just furthers my reservations.

What do you think of the Denon AVR-3313CI
I've had mine for a couple of months now.. Love it but huge learning curve ( for me ) compared to my avr 2105. 6 years later and they've changed so much as far as the UI is concerned. I'm getting the hang of it now and couldn't be happier!. Also, doesn't output digital (2 channel)l to zone 2 anymore as they assume you're using the hdmi for that now.
Don't pay msrp. There are deals to be had
Cheers, Mac
