Watched it last night. My walls and loungers were shaking throughout the entire movie.

A lot of surround sound effects too.

Definitely a reference showroom material.

I watched the first two over the last couple of days in prep of picking this up this weekend. I'm excited to see it after hearing everyone's take on the flick.

Only bad thing was that it was too short - only around 1.5 hrs.

Yes, I didn't mean violent in a bad way either. I went and picked up every issue of Fangoria when it came out when I was a kid, so I like my gore and horror

Watched it Friday evening and that is one "hot" soundtrack. I've never heard so much surround sound use ever. They were firing up and almost as loud as the mains in places. Wild. The effects were good and the story was OK. The first Under World was the best of the bunch IHO.

I liked it. My chick liked it too, so that's generally a good indicator. Yes, definitely a hefty audio track, a few scenes will probably be the new demo material. Some of the digital effects were REALLY good, others were just average. The 3D was pretty amazing on this one, shot in stereoscopic, every scene had nice depth. I'd buy this one just for the audio though.

Last night I realized that I had my subs turned off at the EQ so even though I powered them up with A/C I had no signal going to them. I think I need to re-rent this.

Did you get the 3D version that Futureshop had for something like $28? I am debating if that's the one to get or the $23 one at Costco that is non 3D. I don't have a 3D TV.

Just noticed it's $25 at Bestbuy for the 3D one. I am going to get it on Tuesday.

Future shop website says 5.1 uncompressed. Must be a typo.

dts-HD MA is lossless, but yes, not exactly the same thing as uncompressed.

FS/BB are closed today but I will find out tomorrow. Again, I am quite sure their website is wrong, it must be 7.1 DTS-HD-MA like those in other stores. If you guy like the audio part so much I am going to buy and own it instead of renting.

My apologies for not getting back to you earlier. I've been away and distracted with stuff around the house. The soundtrack is 7.1DTS-HD-MA. My set-up is only 5.1. That being said, I will put the surround mix on par with two other films which I feel stand head and shoulders above all other movie sound tracks for effective use of the surrounds, U571, and Master & Commander.
