Underworld 4 Awakening

My apologies for not getting back to you earlier. I've been away and distracted with stuff around the house. The soundtrack is 7.1DTS-HD-MA. My set-up is only 5.1. That being said, I will put the surround mix on par with two other films which I feel stand head and shoulders above all other movie sound tracks for effective use of the surrounds, U571, and Master & Commander.

Thanks, that gives me a good idea as I do own the Master & Commander in both DVD and BR. Even the DVD version sounds great. Bestbuy has the Awakening regular and 3D for 24.99 sales ending on June 9 and June 17 so I can wait till weekend to pick it up. I recall one of the Matrix series DVD (DD5.1) had very decent surround sound too but not sure if the BR version is first class.

Watched it again with the guys last night for pizza & beer night at my place. This one is good fun.

I feel like a bad parent for saying this, but even my 10 year old daughter loves this movie.

Her favorite franchise movies are

1) Matrix
2) Underworld
3) Lord of the Rings
4) Twilight
5) Harry Potter

And she totally thinks Underworld Awakening is the best in the series.

10) Batman (The new version)

They all have nice sound tracks but I can't stand Spider-Man (the actor).

I did pick up the Awakening 3D on Saturday but ran out off time but will try to watch it this coming weekend.

Oh, yeah, she loved Pirates of Caribbean big time. Among her favorites. RE & Walking Dead too scary for her.

Actually I meant to say all those I mentioned have nice sound tracks but not the Walking Dead. I also find Batman Begins boring but the Dark Knight isn't too bad and the sound is top notch. Anyway, in about 24 hours I will know if you guys had exaggerated the greatness of the Awakening.

Watched it (or heard it, to be more accurate), it is a keeper for sure. I'll probably watch it again with Audyssey deselected and let the subs fight it out among themselves uncontrolled, just to see how messy it can be.

Yeah you were accurate enough, at least about the surround channels.

Just finished watching this and thought the movie was decent, the picture quality was excellent, the audio quality was definitely the best I've ever heard to date. The LFE in this movie is just plain ridiculous, my ultra was loving every second of it and so was I.

Went to grab this today, and was on my way out to pay when i seen they had a full set for $20 more, so i got all 4 on BD now for $50 taxes in, Now i just need time to watch them all before awakening!
