Underworld 4 Awakening

Just saw this movie today. I thought it was awesome. I loved it. Not one dull slow moment. Very exciting. Cared about all the main protagonists.

Only bad thing was that it was too short - only around 1.5 hrs. Leads to sequel in end. Nice.

Totally enjoyed it.

Then again, I'd enjoy a movie of Kate Beckinsale watching paint dry. Heck, I'd enjoy a movie of a painting of Kate Beckinsale drying.

watched it tonight. feels like it's non-stop action (great as a demo disc) but i felt like there was not much "story", didn't feel the story arc/there was no climax

I saw it this weekend. Movie was okay - light on story, decent action.

I don't get out to the theater very often. 2 or 3 times a year. This was the first movie I've seen in 3D (not counting Captain EO & Honey I shrunk the Kids at Disney Land).

Someone tell me... is this a good example of current day 3D use?

Well, none of the Underworld movies will ever win an Oscar. And I hope they never will since I can't stand most of those Oscar Best Picture movies.

The most important thing to me about any story are characters. If I care about the characters, then I will like the story. Otherwise I couldn't care less even if the movie had the best eye candy.

I cared about those characters in Underworld Awakening. All the great action and eye candy are secondary.

Underworld franchise has been pretty good. Looking forward to getting the BR. My other favorite is the Blade series, and following that down about 1000 places is the Twilight crapola.

i owned 1 and 2, then sold them to get the trilogy BD.
(i'm not doing that again)
but will definitely get part 4 as a demo disc.

Bought it last night but I called out on work so I was unable to watch it last night. I'll save it for the weekend.

Now one thing that irks me is this...I was looking for the the BluRay/DVD Digital Rights combo pack and its not being offered for this film. Why? What is the criteria for offerring or not offering the combo packs?

I thought it was only available with Ultraviolet? Most studios are going to move away from giving you a digital copy in the box and instead are going to give you an online copy.

Bought it last night at Fry's for $20. Probably watch it this weekend.
