I have tested the new M-1's and even though they are better than their predecessors, they definitely leaves a lot to be desired. And calling them "full range" as B&W does is simply not correct. The biggest problem with the M-1 (and their predecessors) are the bloated upper bass (175-250 hz) which gives them an "shoe-boxy" sound and is hard to eliminate even in the presence of the mighty PV1.
Instead I opted for the Dali Fazon Sat, which in my opinion has a superior sound in every way - much deeper and cleaner bass-response, higher resolution trebles and a much more full and open sound.
Nothing beats the PV1, though, and I am excited about the PV1D, which has already been ordered here
