I know this is old, but, it's comforting to know that I'm not the only one with a stack of external drives lol. Mine is ridiculous.
there are now more hard drives there
Another old bump, but, I'm an audio fiend and I agree - I don't like anything except for a little two channel setup in my bedroom (which actually now I don't even have, even though I have the speakers lol). And no way would I put a TV in my bedroom, I simply don't like electronics there. But, I know the majority are just the opposite.
this used to be my "simplest system" ... just 2.1 ... but i noticed that i do 99% of my watching here, so might as well go all out.
How loud do you listen in your bedroom? Might be better off just having one subwoofer and then get a cabinet with a door for the equipement (with fans, obviously).
i did have just one, but such is the subwoofer compromise for single subs ... i also spent a good amount of money on that tv stand (if you look at the first page, you'll see i did not plan on putting this much stuff or gear here. but if i could get rid of the stand, i could place floorstanders and more subs up front
I think your room would look nicest with the TV mounted on the wall, one subwoofer, the speakers on stands and an equipment rack to the side opposite the corner. This would make for more space and look very clean.
the wall to the back of the tv stand is dry wall, i'm too lazy/don't have the capability to look for the studs ... i could also completely get rid of the AV rack on the left and migrate them to the tv stand ... but those shelves are full of junk food
