Usually I would keep my mouth shut but... Can we not get all Democrat vs. Republican here.

I just hope that the victims of 9/11's families and friends can get closer to some solace from this.

Works for me. Wonder what they'll do with the body?
They report that he was immediately buried at sea, Islamic tradition to be laid to rest quickly .
My guess is that the body is in cold storage , you know that old saying , seeing is believing, but I seriously doubt that they would just chuck it overboard.

As if he deserved any form of dignity in death.

This stuff seems to be the status quo in politics.

2008 McCain's citizenship called into question.

Candidate, born in Panama Canal Zone, may not qualify as 'natural born'
Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and his advisers are doing their best to brush aside questions — raised in the liberal blogosphere — about whether he is qualified under the Constitution to be president. But many legal scholars and government lawyers say it's a serious question with no clear answer.
actually, i meant, who died and made Donald Trump the champion of the people.

i don't know him, but for some reason, i feel he's full of hot air.
i mean, i don't even think he's THAT rich.

You know I watched it all unfold last night and watched the latest this morning. "Joy" is not a word I associate with him finally paying for what he's spent his life doing. Relief maybe, but not joy. Oddly, when I saw the footage of people jumping up and down cheering and singing and mugging for the camera's, it reminded me of all those dogs dancing in the streets after 9/11. I'm not sure what I think or how I feel about seeing that despite wanting him dead myself.

I'm glad he's gone. I'm glad we killed him and glad the world knows that the US, under any President, will continue to wipe out those who do us harm. I just hope everyone who's had someone taken by the actions of that dog find some kind of peace.

I Got This Picture From The World Tribune Pakistan

and I assume it's what he looked like after his death and not after having sat through the recent Rocky marathon on TV.

My thoughts exactly. As much as people would like to think that our celebration is just, in the eyes of anyone else, we are no different than those celebrating the 9/11 attacks. We're just holding up a different flag.

Now don't think that I'm saying we are terrorists too, I'm just saying that we should show maturity and reserve. If you want to celebrate, do it in private so the whole world doesn't view us as hypocrites. We should keep in mind all those who were killed directly or indirectly from the attacks on 9/11, and know that some form of justice, albeit small, was served.

On the other hand, my brother was greatly inspired by the events of 9/11 to join to Marines, and having Osama killed on the day of his 2nd annual memorial run was only fitting.

Yay another one bites the dust. Sad to say though it is just symbolic as terrorist will keep doing what they do.

On a side note; if anyone really believes that Zero had much to do with this they are living in a fantasy land. W had approved survailence and intel if this area long ago. It was just a matter of time. All the credit belongs to the Military and the team that took him out. I hope they get the reward money.

What strikes me most about Bin Laden is how incredibly coward he was, all the time, even until the last day he was not even a man but an animal with no courage.... even sheep are more courages than what he was.....

While he sent terrorists to the sure death killing innocent people he was sitting in his safe bunker far from every danger declaring the terrorists as wholy saints... or whatever the word he used.....

But what happened at the last moments is even more than it's possible to grasp.... he used his wife as a shield and protected himself from the bullets behind his wife so that his wife got killed.... first........ Even in some wars people may respect the ones at the other side.... but this..... this is beyond the far side of crazy ....

The right thing is to put a man to trial and not kill him, but....... he was not a man.... Proper men have courage.....
Justice can never be served... for this... many to many people have fallen to the hands of Bin Laden.

I believe Al Qaida is now without any strategic leader and will fall apart, at least it's what I hope for and this makes this a good and happy day.

Congratulations to you all !

I would bet quite a bit that Bin Laden is hanging in a freezer right now. Burial at sea is akin to check's in the mail. Kind of stops the line of questioning in its tracks. I don't buy it, but it makes sense that is what they are selling from a lot of different angles.

After listening to the news conference I believe they did bury him at sea as they said and that they have video of the whole thing going down. I also believe Obama should get some credit for giving the order and for the decision to keep every other nation in the dark, especially Pakistan. If it had gone the way of the Iran hostage rescue, he certainly would have gotten the blame. I think the whole operation was a credit to the good old USA but especially the Seals Elite 6.

DId anyone else listen to the news conference this afternoon?

To me something is fishy here.......
Why is there no evidence, like pictures or videos or anything?

Yeah, I just want to make it known, I am not a conspiracy guy. I think it happened just like they said, I just really wonder if they would have ditched the body. It just seems like an convenient answer, but hell they probably did, but I wouldn't have.

They had a live feed of the whole thing. Make no mistake there are videos and pictures, but whether they release them or not is another story. They will probably be pretty gruesome and we have been critical of others for releasing that kind of thing. As far as keeping the body, for what, it just would have been fuel for would be radicals.
