worried about recent purchase

I just bought a Samsung UN55C7000 Full HD 3D 1080P LED TV from avindemand.com. I paid 1795.00 for it which was 900 bucks less than at the local sams club for the 7100. the only difference i can see between the two models is the color of the accents on the case. The shipping was free.

I am a tad worried about the legitimacy of this company as well and hope i don't get screwed. First time buying a big TV. Last one i bought was a 27 inch magnavox from walmart when i got married 10 years ago.

Any suggestions for protecting myself at this point?

They have excellent reviews on resellerratings:

I'd advise you to do your research PRIOR to spending $1800 on something next time.

Provided you paid with a credit card, there are plenty of protections available to you if things go south. If you get screwed by the company, you can always do a chargeback.

did you pay with a credit card ? if so, don't worry much. if not = bad bad bad.

google that company name. if you don't find much, that can actually be good.

I will research more next time. I did look at some online reviews on different sites before making the purchase, and I paid with a credit card.

I started feeling concerned when i did not get an email confirming my purchase, and with a tracking number. I did save and print off my record of purchase from the site.

Also, when i went to sight to track my ups ground shipment, I couldn't locate my shipment. Also, the transaction on avindemand site said completed....

...So, I am asking some questions;

Did I pick a decent TV?
Did I get a good deal in your opinion?
Also, could you make a few suggestions how i can research better for this type of purchase in the future.

GO to the manufacturer's site and look at their whole lineup- most brands have specific models that are limited to discount clubs and warehouse sellers, like Sam's Club, WalMart, etc. Best Buy sells the Panasonic TC-PxxC series and that's the discount club model. It's all out there on the internet and google is your friend.

Only you can decide if you got a good deal.

Also, be aware that Samsung makes panels for other manufacturers and they keep the best ones for their own sales. It doesn't keep them from having some problems with the panels and you'll need to find out who does the service in the event that something breaks.
