Denon AVR 2105 question?

I may have damaged my receiver?

Can anyone confirm that after all speakers have been disconnected, that when the power is turned on and the panel lights up for about 1-2 secs then switches into protection mode with flashing power light, that there must be an internal circuitry problem?….or does the receiver automatically do this when no speakers are connected?

Thanks ;)

If it does that after a reset, then it has a serious problem.

The Denon manual will tell you how to reset the receiver. You might also want to try unplugging the Denon (so it is seeing no power whatsoever) for a few minutes, plug it back in and try turning it on. Leave all speakers and components disconnected.

If the shut down remains, it will need servicing or its time to buy a new receiver.
