That seems like a lot for Kolb, considering that 1st round pick for Cleveland or any team interested in a QB at this point will most likely be a top 10, maybe even a top 5 in the draft. The Buffalo Bills also need a quarterback and I would rather have them keep that high 1st round pick (maybe #1 overall ) instead of going after a player like Kolb.

Cleveland might be even a more inept organization than Buffalo if they do that deal for a 1st.
Cleveland is now run by Tom Heckert the old GM for Philly and also a big Kolb supporter he actually made the trades in the draft to get the guy that the experts all say would have been there anyway, oh well that's why we are just the fan's that support the nimrods :(

Here you go lsiberian.

Hope that the game against the Texans does not come down to a coaching mistake and/or a missed field goal. :D

The personnel decisions have been terrible. First they let our best O lineman go just because he's a little dirty and jumps offside from time to time. Tony was never on his back when Flozell was in the game. The second he went down we got trounced by the Vikings. Letting the kicker go was just insane. Who's bright idea was that. I truly hope the rumors that Cowher or Billick may be the coach soon are true. Also Romo and the D aren't the issue. it's the lack of a running game that's the real problem. We have the #2 pass offense in the league. Romo is gonna throw his arm out if we don't get some balance. I like Phillips, but he needs to be are DC and not our head coach. He's a great DC. Bring in Cowher(rumors are swirling that the boys are already going after him) I wouldn't mind a 5-11 season if we got Cowher or Billick for our trouble.

I have been stressing this point for years. I am glad to see you are coming along. ;) A Wade Phillips coached team will never win the big one. I have always said Phillips is a great defensive mind but not suited to manage a football team and its players. My take is JJ wanted control and a "yes man". There are plenty of coaches like this, Gregg Williams is another example. I hear there is a lot of finger pointing going on in Dallas? Whats the scoop?

The scoop from a reliable inside source has been Cowher or Billick are going to take over. I'm betting on the later and hoping for the former. Cowher is a great coach who knows just how to use our defense and QB to get the best results. Gruden is off the table because of his MNF contract, and I don't think he'd be a good fit either. Billick has the philosophy of Phillips so we'd not have a rebellion. Cowher would be the dream guy, but I just don't see him being interested. He'd win a Super Bowl with this squad if given the chance though. The Cowboys are stacked with talent and really need a disciplined coach to push them over the edge.

The cowboys will have nothing but Lane Kiffins untill JJ stops acting like AL Davis. Davis's best years were when Madden and Flores had the say so. I loved the Cowboys when I was a kid all the way through Danny White. When Tex sold it was fun for a bit but ego and NFLPA changed that. If teams would look at the Bill Polian models, things would be better for us, the fans.

I don't see JJ going after a Bill Parcells type coach like in Cowher either. JJ is too much of control freak and IMO that stadium monstrosity he built has gone to his head and has even made it worse. I agree with you bandphan, JJ needs to delegate and give up majority control in personnelle decisions (GM).

BTW Bill Polian is a great GM. Much of the success of those exciting 1990's Buffalo Bills was because of him. He knows how to build a franchise. Oh yeah, and that whole Peyton Manning era. :D

Can I fire our Special Teams coach personally?!?!? They single-handedly lost the game for us yesterday. ST has sucked for the last 3 years!!!!

Plus I didn't realize 'til game time that we were basically playing with our scrub linebackers. 4 of our starting linebackers were out!!!

IF Kareem Mckenzie were to accidentally be kidnapped, have his limbs cut off, and then be buried at the bottom of the Hudson river, I don't think I'd be all that sad

You can't stop Leon Washington, you can only hope to contain him!!

My wife is a Seahawk fan... unfortunately I may have to root for football vicariously through her this season :eek:

Every year you do this in September and every year the Chargers go on a roll in December make the playoffs and compete. Take it easy. The Chiefs will most certainly lose and you will again be in the playoffs. Your coach always likes to peak in December.

LOL

You sound like my wife. I hope you're right.

On a side note, I think Merriman is done. The guy can't stay healthy to save his life. I predict he's gone after this season.

I thought he was gone before he suited up :D.
I think the Chargers really should count their respective lucky stars that Rivers is such a fierce competitor, a bit wacky, but a good QB none the less.
