Yeah Edwards. I say the suicide report earlier. That's a sad deal.
But why? I mean, it said he was always smiling. Other than being injured, did anyone have a clue that he was upset?

acute depression is the most overlooked disease we deal with, you just never know who suffers, too bad :(

VJ to Minnesota????

Apparently the rumor mill is swirling that a trade to the Vikings is imminent. Lame. I wanted VJ going to a team that didn't have a shot at the playoffs like the Rams. I guess with the Vikes starting 0-2 and the injury to Rice, they're getting desperate. Hopefully we at least get some good picks for VJ. I'm sorry to see him go, but the guy got stupid.

It wouldn't be that bad. At least it would be out of the conference. That would be a huge pickup for the Vikings. Their offense/Brett has really struggled without that Plaxico Burress type receiver in Sidney Rice in which Brett can just throw the ball to a covered WR and have him come down with it. That was an important aspect of their offense last year when facing blitz packages/pressure. If they pick up VJ and when Rice comes back from injury they should be more of the team we seen last year.

Yeah I've struggled with suicidal thoughts in the past. You hurt inside, but you don't want to bother people with your hurt. So you ache and eventually you slide further and further. Thankfully I had a vision of my funeral with all the people who'd be upset, but times are really hard even for folks with jobs.

What a huge waste of what could have been a great life. My thoughts go out to his family.
The news reported that he may have been depressed over financial issues due to his injury, The Nfl and The Broncs say he was fully covered w/ins. and still getting close to 400,000.00 dollars to recover from the said injury, nothing there to be depressed over except to not be playing but I know I could miss the season for a small payment of that amount

Yeah but most 23 year olds would go on a spending spree using credit. So he probably racked up debt and it was overwhelming. It almost be better if they paid contracts out with an immediate annuity over 25 or 30 years instead of giving them big money upfront.

Their agents want the money ASAP to take their cut.

Well now who would have thunk it but here we go with M Vick running the O in Philly, so much for K Kolb getting his chance to be the next best thing in Eagles History, ha.I will admit that the Dog Killa is very athletic but I just cant stand em for the piece of poop he really is relating to his life style off the field.I understand that Kolb may be a Cleveland Brown before Sundays game, who knew, oh yeah Andy Reid your a D-Bag , just not one of ours :D

I have never been fan of Andy Reid or quarterback carousels for that matter. I don't think he has handled the McNabb, Kolb, Vick thing very well either. How is this switch being discussed in Philly? Is Vick going to be on a short leash as the starter if he has 1 bad game? I can't help but think this whole situation is going to be one big negative distraction for the team.

Absolutely not a short leash, barring injury Vick will start for the 2010-11 Philadelphia Football Season.Kolb is really on the verge of being traded real quick like so our back up will be the newly drafted Mike Kafka :confused:
This info comes from a live news conference with owner Jeff Lurie and head coach Big Andy Reid

As an outsider to the Eagles situation I would call Reid a tool. What would they be looking to get out of Kolb a 2nd round pick?

Cleveland is offering a first round so far, we'll see soon enough.
That seems like a lot for Kolb, considering that 1st round pick for Cleveland or any team interested in a QB at this point will most likely be a top 10, maybe even a top 5 in the draft. The Buffalo Bills also need a quarterback and I would rather have them keep that high 1st round pick (maybe #1 overall ) instead of going after a player like Kolb.

Cleveland might be even a more inept organization than Buffalo if they do that deal for a 1st.
