I thought the episode was alright. I guess he gets reincarnated into his physical self? I was expecting smokey to wake up after jacob found him. The series finale better be awesome. I'm starting to get a little worried that I'll be dissapointed

Well, this is off-topic but I was watching an episode of Prison Break Season 5 and both Jacob & his brother Smokey (before he changed his body to John Locke) were in it!

They were playing different characters, of course, but it's funny seeing both of them again on another show!

Yeah, I can relate as Juliette plays in V. I am so used to her in LOST that it feels a bit awkward seeing her in V. The ending in near.

Wow, what a great episode last night! We now know who Jacob and Old Smokey really are. Sure did not think they were brothers. However, once Jacob put his brother into the "light" he was forever changed. So the question is-"Who is going to win?". Will Old Smokey get off of the island or not? Just a couple episodes left and as such we will all know soon enough. My guess is, Jacob will somehow prevail in the end. Only time will tell.

...But Jacob is dead..or is he? Or maybe one of the Lost crew will be the new Jacob, charged with keeping Smokey on the island and guarding the golden cave? There's still lots of possibilities. Maybe Hurley? He could be the one that everybody discounts, but who has the most inner strength.

Yes, Jacob is dead. But, when has that really mattered on this show right? I agree with you about Hurley. However, it looks like Desmond is going to be Jacob's replacement. Remember, it was Desmond that pushed that button for over 3-years. None of the other candidates did that. As always, nothing is what it seems on the island so who really knows. The question is will Old Smokey get off of the island? My guess is no. We all will know soon enough as the series finale closes in.

That's why Hurley is my choice...the dark horse surprise. He always seems to know more than he lets on to.

It could be. But, then again there is Sawyer. For a while, he was content to stay on the island. Now, he seems determined to get off at all costs. My first choice is Desmond followed by Hurley. Who knows, it may not be neither of them. However, we all should know soon enough.

Amen bro Amen! Been wanting to know the same thing as you Alex. There is only (1) new episode left, then a 2-hour series finale. As such, we will all know soon enough. Hate to see it all end, but sure do want some more answers just the same.

That was actually worse because it had me sucked into HBO.

I can't help but wonder how long they were setting this up. I'm not a serious Lost geek, but I seem to recall that several seasons ago, we got confused because there seemed to be a good Locke and a bad Locke. At the time, I assumed that he was just moody, but maybe they were setting up the Smoke Monster thing way back when. Am I right? Could it have been Smokey that gave Locke back his legs when he walked out of the plane?

Oh, and I guess I lost my $1 bet that Hurley would be the new guardian.
