appears to be still open, and full of BS.
I like how DK says things like:
Yet doesn't bother mentioning what he thinks the problems are and why he thinks other tests are more appropriate.
I also like how he makes a bunch of claims (all or most of which turn out to be wrong) regarding a couple of sensory evaluation books without having ever read the books, but he had read a brochure and the index from them. What a buffoon. Unc2701 tore him apart repeatedly and thoroughly but the other gibbons there are too biased to realize it.
This right here tells you precisely how thoroughly he's going about his "research" into sensory evaluation:
Even more laughable:
The notion that you can completely eliminate placebo and bias by being "properly trained" and having "honest intentions" is ridiculous in the extreme, and makes me think the person that said it might be a wee bit retarded. He didn't even consider looking into placebo, because hes trained and honest and is therefore completely immune to its effects. Good effing lord, what nonsense.
I think it's also pathetic and predictable that you get the arguments of "if it were placebo I'd like the more expensive stuff but I like the cheaper stuff better sometimes" and also "I didn't want to hear a difference because I'd rather save my money, but I did hear a difference so I spent 3500 dollars on power cables." Apparently it isn't obvious that these two mindsets will result in completely opposite conclusions, that EVERYONE is susceptible to BOTH types of thinking (no matter which you THINK you lean towards), and that which side of the fence you end up on on any given Sunday could be attributed to almost a million different psychological factors, including time of day, mood, what you had for dinner, when the last time you got laid was, etc, etc, etc.
