Seriously, if there is a "boss" in any man/woman relationship, something is wrong. One of them is a doormat, with no self-esteem, the other is insecure and must dominate the other, in order to feel important. I'm going to assume you were being "tongue in cheek"?

Well the tongue in cheek actually got past me ...
... but I did hear a hilarious story about a guy finding a dingle berry once.

GO-NAD, you must be like the Dr. Phil of Nova Scotia. Great point about it being the age of communication.

I think relationships are like taking a trip in a car. There should only be one person at the wheel. Sometimes I let her drive.

Dr. Phil!? I would like to think not! He's a slimy douche-bag and there's no way that I'm slimy...

I personally would not want a wife who says, "Yes, Dear" to everything I say. Nor would I want one who expects it from me. If I'm being an a**hole, I appreciate her calling me on it. At the same time, she knows I won't accept sh** from her. The women in her family are...how should I put this...."bossy", I suppose. My wife's older sister is somewhat domineering over her husband. He is a great guy, but he takes to much BS from her. He just finds easier, I guess. My wife would probably be the same way, but knows that I wouldn't put up with it. We get along excellently, because we communicate and know where the other stands on any issue. We each compromise at times, because what goes around, comes around.

Her assertiveness comes in handy sometimes. When we buy a new vehicle, I turn her loose on the poor salesman. She's better at negotiating than I'll ever be. I just keep her apprised of the technical aspects, so she'll know what she's talking about. It works well.

Hmmm ... I kind of like Dr. Phil ... not enough to watch the show but I like him.

It's funny that you mentioned car salesmen. The last one I ran into turned out to be way better at selling what he wanted to my girl than I was at buying what I thought was smart. I didn't even bother fighting it seeing as how I was beat before the fight started. We are the happy owners of on '08 Malibu with a few extras.

Actually no, she isn't Scottish. She's actually from French stock. Her mother is from Quebec and her father is Acadian. She isn't stingy enough to be Scottish...

Hope no Scotsman takes offence; I can do without a Glasgow kiss...

The last thing you'd ever expect to hear from me is to sort of forget how much you know, how smart you are and go to church to see if you can hook up with lsiberian's wife ... I mean find a nice girl.

That kid is for sure gonna shoot me if I ever go back to Texas.
