They are both "talkers", like my wife can get a on a roll and the longer she talks the faster it gets. She is the reason us men invented the head nod.:D

Where did you buy the driver? These would make excellent speaker stands...
I'm curious to hear your impressions... I might have to build a couple of these, the price is certainly right...

Any idea what kind of performance the thing has SPL levels and such? If that were scaled up just a tad and a Titanic 8" used would it be better than 12's I have in a bass reflex?

From reading about it, the enclosure was built specifically for the anarchy driver and its an excellent performer. I don't know if an enclosure could be designed for the titanic, some drivers model well in horns, some don't...

Subjectively:
this little tapped horn gives up very little when compared to a THT in room at 80 to 85 dB levels at the listening position, but it runs out of steam with higher power. Remember - we are comparing a 6.5" midbass driver to a 15" Sub driver. It does what I asked it to do very well, but comparing it to a THT at full power is like bringing a knife to a to a gunfight.
1w at 1m graph measured outside.

Hmm, I would like to know. I don't know much about horn designs.

Quiet Liner Acoustical Cotton---where can I get some? Or will OC 705 be an acceptable replacement?

Those are actually some nice little subs. I could see using a couple of these laid on their sides under a platform for rear seating in a home theater (like mine). I can't wait to see how the project turns out for you.

Does it matter if you use plywood vs. the 1/2" Baltic birch called out in the plan?

The "plywood" is the Baltic birch I have left over from the THT build.:p

Got my notice that the woofer shipped today.

Had me worried there for a minute. Plywoods are a lot cheaper than solid hardwood panels. How hard is that stuff to find in 5' x 5' sheets?

Two of these would work out perfect built into the floor of my back seats.

What would happen if the port was turned to one side? So it would be facing upward when laid on one side?

I ought to build two of these - one for my parents and one for myself; it seems like a great budget build. I was considering the B.F. Tuba 18 before seeing this thread.
