It's been snowing here since last night, and is supposed to keep snowing all day today. Most of the east coast from Virginia to New England is getting it. Anyone else got snow?

I was at the company christmas party last night, and driving home, some 20 miles or less took me an hour and a half! And this was before 1" had accumulated on the ground. Major roads were gridlocked because drivers, freaked out by the snow, were going less than 10 mph! Anytime they hit a slight hill they spun their wheels because they had to hit the gas to keep going. Whenever I could, I passed people by the dozens - and I was driving about 25-30 mph!

People in Washington have no clue how to drive in the snow. It makes me wonder how clueless they are the rest of the time .

Snowing as I type! Might have 1/2" now but The news says we will get ~14" overall. We are about 45min NW of Philadelphia. It's been cold enough that it is a dry powder as of right now. I hope it stays that way becaues removal will be tons easier...and I mean tons.:)

About 3 1/2 inches here in my rural yard in south east Ohio, only about an inch in Athens.

I know I know, actually I gave them to him at his request, I give him three seats to one game every year and he just so happened to pick this one, I never expected this weather nor did he, surprise Brother , I just talked to him and he is 100% stoked, he could care less about the snow, I would get pumped up for the game if I was going but it sure does feel nice inside today, :)

I made it to 10 seconds ... something about 'lookin' for you the other day'.

You should put a 'CRAP ALERT !!!' on stuff like that.

Anyway, no snow in RI ... yet. We're suppose to get 6"-18" later. People here freak out because of the 'Blizzard of '78' or something. The b!tch of it is that I have to go to the store which will be mobbed by freaked out Rhodian Islanders all preparing for Armageddon.

I was thinking that I should get out and do like audio stuff ... but the girl won't let me out in bad weather. :(
It's like living with my mommy ... except for the obvious ... my girl lets me drink black coffee. :D

Dude, you didn't get to the main part of the song, yet! That's just the intro. And, yeah, I reduced the size of your alert...hater. :D

That's just so wrong. So wrong.

Coffee should have cream and sugar.

For an actual snow-related post, we have gotten snow here before. Normally once a year at most, except maybe a bit more on the mountains.

After I'd lived here for four years and never once seen snow, I finally decided to get summer tires. The store was very specific that they shouldn't be driven in snow. Noooo problem, I thought. Three days after I put them on...it snowed. :D

On the other side of the river/downtown dc from Swerd, we've got somewhere between 14-16 inches right now, possibly more... Supposed to keep getting it for the rest of the day too... I'm told this type of thing happens once or twice a decade here. It's pure chaos.

The really nice thing is I think it sort of gives people perpective. I think people realize, "you know, it's ok if I don't try to move a mile a minute today, maybe I'll just watch a movie with my family".

Your words… and my thoughts too. We should have brown chicklets for that.

We've now had well over a foot of snow and it's still coming down fast & heavy. The wind is picking up too.

How much bread, milk, and toilet paper do they need in RI for Armageddon? Stores here got cleaned out.

I lived in Hartford, CT back in the Blizzard of 78. The whole state was shut down for 3 days while the National Guard plowed the roads and pretty much whatever was on the roadsides too. So much snow remained on the roof of the Hartford Civic Center, that it collapsed. I guess RI got just as much snow in that storm.

My girlfriend was snowed in with me for 3 days too :D. Ah, the memories ;). We must have had black coffee too, but I can't remember that anymore.

It only really started coming down in the NYC area about 90 minutes ago. Not much yet in the way of accumulation, but we are still in the early stages of the storm. Curious to see how this turns out!
