Bass Connection's "Bass Heaven" Thumpin' really well...

An MP3 was floating around from Bassotronics. That's got some serious bass down to 11Hz. That's been my best bass demo yet.

The soundtrack to the motion picture The Sky Crawlers, composed by Kenji Kawai. Finally got the soundrack, after falling in love with the main theme during the opening credits of the movie. It's very foretelling of this odd film, a kind of sideways melody that overlays a sureness, a steadiness in the underlying and thunderous beat.
The opening scene was a strange experience, as scene from the cockpit of a fighter plane making a final approach to the runway, seemingly all happening in slow motion... two harps just intertwine this haunting melody and the feeling is like riding on silk, floating in the air. This revives my excitement for anime soundtrack music.

Wish they were multi-channel SACD's however.

I got the white album and love the sound. On the quieter songs, like Blackbird, you can hear the breath in Paul's voice. Also the bass lines are conspicuous in a way they never have been before. Sometimes the stereo separation goes a little too far but it's so much better than any previous mix that it's like a new album.

I bought the Abbey Road and Sgt. Pepper's remasters and noticed the prominent bass in those albums as well. Not overbearing, mind you. I liked it because Pauls's playing is fantasic! I had never appreciated his skills as much before, probably because the quality of the bass in previous versions of the recordings wasn't as good.

Wilco (the album). That's what it's called. It's my first listen, I think I like it but not entirely sure. It's somewhat more poppy than their others, well recorded, good sound.
