Ah, keep your stick on the ice, Brian.
Its one thing to be "that guy" and arbitrarily ruffle up some feathers, but its a completely different animal when your just plain wrong.
To your first comment. UV rays and heat damage upholstery. Thats a fact.
To the second, while there may be other ways, tinting can eliminate 99% of UV rays and is a one time application.
OF COURSE a detailer trying to sell product wouldn't want me to have my windows tinted, hows he gonna sell me overpriced services if I dont need em?
There are ways to protect cars from the elements and tinting happens to be one of the best. Oh, and its a multitask-er. I'd hate to mention them all again, but one of the reasons I have tint is that I frequently have to carry valuable things that I don't want the real "losers" thinking they need to make their own. Tinting also provides accident protection. If my side glass breaks, the tint will keep most of the glass together instead of it being sent through my spleen.
Point is brotha, you dont have to like it, it might not be for you but don't take something practical, cost saving, energy saving, that a lot of people here do and call them losers. Sorry, you havent earned that right.
Now that I look at it, almost every "exotic" car I can find has relatively dark windows. I'd hate to be the "loser" driving an Enzo. Gosh, how embarrassing.
I wonder if my sunglasses are too dark, I'd hate to be a loser.
