The jury is still out. Now they're saying he's been transferred to another hospital.

Nope, he's dead. CBS just confirmed it.

I'm just pissed that his death will upstage Farrah's. IMNSHO, she was more worthy of our grief.

You're kidding right?

Farrah was definitely a sex symbol in the 70's, but that's about it. It wasn't like she was a great actress or anything.

MJ was definitely odd, and who knows if he was really a pedophile or not. But NO ONE can deny that he was one of the greatest entertainers of all time. His stage shows were incredible! I may not have liked him as a person, but I sure as hell liked him as a performer.

Rest in peace MJ.

Maybe I'm just too young to have seen him in his prime, but that guy has always given me the creeps. I'm only in my mid 20s though, so, I never saw him as a handsome black man, only as a white pedophile.

I saw a picture when he was a kid in the Jackson 5 and he looked completely normal, plus he had a kickass afro.

CNN is reporting him as having died. Wow. Why is it always in threes??? Weird. I really liked some of his earlier music...

Yeah, there was a time when he wasn't so weird, early 80's. I was like, five, and man, I wanted to be like Mike! Well he definitely was one of the greatest entertainers ever IMHO. RIP.

Kinda a crazy spiral downward, but the Talent can't ever be denied. He was the King of his style. It seems Kings die young in Music.

No, I think you got it just about right.

Michael Jackson had buckets of talent, and most of it was wasted because of his bizarrely disfunctional adult life (I'm trying to speak kindly of the dead, I could say a lot worse). He was musically productive only for a brief period in the early to mid 80s.

LOL

Yeah, I think you're a bit too young. I turn 40 this year and I still remember the Thriller video as completely mind blowing. You know, back when MTV actually played music.

I remember Thriller, Beat it, Billie Jean, and all his great videos, but his glory ended well over twenty years ago and hasn't done anything of (artistic) worth since. Ever since then he's been the unofficial poster boy for NAMBLA, and that creeps me out.

Oh, I and turn 60 on Saturday.

I don't know about long remembered, I'm sure there will be a big deal made now, and in a few months people will be on to the next big thing.

I totally disagree. This day will be long remembered. Just as the day Elvis, and John Lennon died.
