Seriously, I see your point but we live life everyday weighing odds. My saying has always been: "God doesn't take you until it's time but that doesn't mean you can stand in the highway".

As far as the other part, you handle things as you wish, but don't say there wasn't a warning.... stupid $hit happens in life, and you don't want to lose everything you own because you chose to be passive, and ignorant of accidents that may happen... trust me most people have no clue, just ask an insurance guy about pool claims... you will be enlightened...

Patrick, I forgot to ask yesterday - did you recoup the costs of the trial once you won? $500k is an insanely large amount of money to most people.

It was almost that much money, and no my family never recouped that loss. We had to sell everything we owned to my fathers brother on a land contract so as to protect our assets and buy it back after the trial was all over, trust me, this is something no-one wants to ever think about, because some dumb f*ck doesn't know how to behave like a normal human being... It was a devastating blow to us, but we recovered....

This stuff comes up as a powder vs. strips.

Those are pneumatic tools requiring a huge compressor. That's some serious over kill but you should be able to get whole job done in an hour or two. Regarding the powder vs. strips comment: The jackhammer would not give you strips but rather something more coarse than sand but not quite gravel. However I do admit that I am not the concrete guy although I have walked on a bunch of it.

My brother had a pool put in about 2 yrs ago and that was all I heard for 6 weeks. Salt vs. Chlorine!!!!

Salt it is.....well then the hammerhead will be a nice addition.

Dawg I am sure that this whole thing has tried your patience to its end. I can tell you that even today my bro grins from ear to ear when the evening settles and has wine by the pool waiting for the sun to set.

I have a huge family. Every weekend of every summer since highschool my brothers and our famlies would meet at mom's pool for b-b-q, beer and margaritas (we got grounded from scotch and bourbon), and all the bullshi'n we could handle. Some of the best times (and stories) of my life were around the swimming pool and I hope you have the same experience. I will miss it.

The drum sander worked like a charm. Took 1 hour and 2 belts.

Just audio out there. I have the two patio speakers which will probably be enough but while the ground is dug up, I will run some wire to the other side of the yard just in case.
