Finally pulled the trigger on a piano black PB13 Ultra

I really want the sub eq, but even at the preorder price it still doesn't seem worth it to me, unless people start getting theirs and report about the night and day difference it makes, but I just don't see that happening. While I'm sure it does make a great improvement, I'd sooner get an SMS-1 and save some money, unless the SMS-1 isn't up to par with the SVS unit. I guess time will tell, but for the meantime, I'm sure the ultra will make me one happy audioholic.

I know just running the ghetto pawn shop EQ's that I had on my HT system's LF made a tremendous difference in smoothing out the nodes. I seriously don't see how the SMS-1, or any other well designed room correction product couldn't b a hit.

Not sure about the ETA yet, I emailed them to find out more about the shipping, and since it's not coming via UPS, but a ground freight company, I don't know how long it will take. But yes, pics will be taken.

At least you have enough subs to hold you over for a while. Now I gotta figure out how to use the room eq wizzard software, and possibly invest in an eq. I want the new SVS eq, but it's a lot more than I'm willing to spend on something like that right now.

You should get the DCX 2496 if you want an EQ for your sub. Anything else is probably overpriced in comparison.

So you decided to go air instead of ground ? Because I thought they only used ups for ground and the other courier for air 2nd and 3rd day. Mind if I ask how much shipping was it must of been costly ? I know there running free shipping now for ground and thats a great deal

No, I didn't get any kind of special shipping, but when I asked I was told that the ultra was too big and heavy for UPS so they use ground freight for the PB13 Ultras. And since Ohio isn't that far from NC, I know it won't take long to get here, as I have gone from NC to Michigan, where I am from, and it's like a 14 hr. drive. I did get in on the free shipping deal, plus got 5% off due to being a repeat customer, so I made out ok.

Bax Global most likely. it took 5 business days to get to CA. i guess it should take less than 3 days to NC

Oh ok thats wright I forgot my PB12NSD was only half the weight thats probably why it went ups . I dont really like UPS So im kind of glad there using Bax although I never heard of them hope there in my area but I plan on being home for this shippment because its not going to fit in my little GTI like the PB12 did lol
