Teetertotter?

Teetertotter?

Audioholic Chief
Mains - Klipsch RP-500M II 80Hz
Center - Klipsch RP-400C 90HZ
Surround - Klipsch R-51M 100Hz
Sub - Klipsch R-100SW 80Hz
My surrounds do not have the same Tembre, and suggested to find another RP-Series speaker. I will be looking for that this summer or sooner.

Yes, the Audyssis calibration is not the best, for sure. I should have tried setting ALL the speakers to 80Hz, and probably would have made a big difference, initially. But, Happy that Klipsch Support came through with his recommendation. 5,1 and Music, never sounded better. For Music, the Denon AVR is set to "Virtual"
.
Today, I went back in and did a revised manual crossover adjustment with new Audyssis speaker calibrations. Based on the low frequency on each speaker:
Mfg Spkr Spec
Mains low freq is 50HZ / with new crossover setting 60HZ
Center is 65HZ / with new crossover setting 80Hz Perhaps could try 60HZ too
Side surround is 50HZ / with new crossover setting 60 HZ
Subwoofer 120HZ
I am trying these new settings for a while, for my 90% DD movie viewing and regular TV @10%. My side surrounds were originally Klipsch R-51M and just changed to POLK
S-15, from a previous purchase.

So, will try these new manual crossovers for any improvement or not. The HT room is 8 X 12 with TV, etc., at 8 foot width. 55" TV, is at 6 foot viewing distance with center the same distance. Front mains are at 7 foot distance to listening with main tweeters at ear level, with center channel at ear level. Sub is between the CC and RF.

For your info, the Denon AVR said: 40HZ for FL/FR, center channel 60HZ, and the surrounds 80HZ. Perhaps that is Denon's standard recommended with Auto calibration. Their other setting is to set all to the std 80HZ.
