Well, I am still bummed out from my Cats loss to Georgia last nite. The sad part is, they were dead last in the SEC only to be my Cats. It looks like at this time that KY will have to win the SEC tournament in order to make it to the NCAA Tournament. Yeah right, I might as well ask for a miracle while I am at it.:rolleyes: Personally, it is imho that KY needs to make a coaching change. I am tired of hearing all the excuses myself. Billy needs to go!!!!! It won't be soon enough if you ask me.:rolleyes:

Cheers,

Phil

Well folks, it looks like my Cats are about done for the year. :(:( Sadly, they lost yet another game to Florida. My guess is, that KY will not make the NCAA tournament. That is, unless KY can win the SEC tournament and obtain an automatic bid.:rolleyes: Oh well, there is the NIT tournament. Maybe KY will do better there.

Cheers,

Phil

I don't know about #1's this year. All I have been watching has been KU basketball (Texas Tech, WTF!?!?!), although I did catch the Maryland/UNC upset a couple of weeks ago. UNC looks pretty tough this year, but all I've been hearing about is Pitt.

I'm happy because KU is better than anyone expected. I think they should make it to the sweet sixteen, and then out. They could do better, but that will probably wait for next year.

I agree in that KU may surprise a few this year. If Louisville is not a #1 seed, then they will most certainly be a #2. I also think Duke will be a #2. By the look of things right now, KY won't even make it and Florida is on the "bubble" so to speak. We will know soon as Selection Sunday will be here before you know it. Personally, I can't wait. ;);)

I sure hope at the end of the season, that Gillispie gets fired!!!! Or perhaps, he resigns. Either way, it is time for him to go as all is NOT well in the Big Blue Nation. If this does happen, it won't be soon enough if you ask me.:eek:

Not so cheerfully,

Too bad my Cats got beat today by LSU. By the look of things, KY can't hit a free throw to save their lives nor can they even handle the ball........WTF???:confused: It is highly doubtful they will even make the NCAA tournament. My guess is, they will be lucky to even get a NIT bid. Heck, if they do, KY will probably lose in the first round. As such, it is in my opinion that Billy Gillespie gets fired or resigns asap. It really doesn't matter to me how he goes as long as he is GONE!!!!! It won't be soon enough if you ask me. :(:( Things are not well in the Big Blue Nation!!!!!!:eek:

Well folks, Selection Sunday is here. Any of you feel like making any early picks? My #1 seeds are as follows:

Pittsburgh
N. Carolina
UConn
Louisville

I also would like to add that Duke, Michigan State, Purdue, and Syracuse should be in strong contention for #2 seeds. Guess, we will just have to wait and see. Feel free to reveal your top picks.

Cheers,

Phil

Uconn and NC are my picks.....Its almost here Phil.....MarchMadness baby...:D
Yeah, I know, but w/o KY. I am so disappointed in Gillespie. He needs to go in a big way. Hey, can I borrow your AK-47..............LOL!!!!!:eek: I am just kidding!!!! But hey, Gillespie needs to be released one way or another. I prefer it when KY is part of the Elite groups. Right now, they will go well just to get an NIT bid. Even so, will probably lose in the 1st round. :(:( I do agree, however, both N.Carolina and UConn will be there. Be rest assured that Pittsburgh and Louisville will be as well. I am still a little excited. Guess, I need to root for Louisville. I have always liked Rick anyways. :D:D

Cheers,

Phil

PS: Better keep an eye on Syracuse as they will probably surprise many.

KU locked a #3 seed, so I can't really complain given how they played the last two games. Hopefully they'll dust ND St, and then have either USC or BC. Rock Chalk!!

Yeah, a #3 seed is not bad. I would not want to face either USC or BC myself. Good luck to KU. My sleeper pick is Syracuse btw. Just have to wait and see.

Phil

Well folks, KY lost to N. Dame last night. They merely kicked KY's a$$ all over the place. As for my Cats, well I still think it is time for Gillespie to go! Hopefully, KY's next coach will be Travis Ford or Darrin Horn. Either way, things will be much improved. Sorry for the rant, but I have had it with Gillespie.:mad: All is NOT well in the Big Blue Nation! :(:(

Cheers,

Phil

So far in this tournament, the name Big East says it all. Louisville and Connecticut look awesome. It was sad watching Syracuse and Arizona get embarrassed that way. Now Pitt and Villanova prepare to cut each other. (Thanks to Villanova for eliminating Duke.)

… and ACC stands for Almost All Carolina. Ever since the ACC expanded by adding Miami, Virginia Tech, & Boston College - all football schools - the basketball quality of the ACC has been declining. The only two ACC schools who voted against the expansion were UNC and Duke!

Has anyone noticed the success of the two most recent coaches from Virginia Commonwealth U? First came Jeff Capell who is now at Oklahoma, and now VCU has just lost Anthony Grant who is going to Alabama.

Yes, things really look interesting this year. However, in the end it will be NC imho. Just too much talent and the best coach period. Roy Williams is the man! Wished he would come to KY, but it is doubtful. I say Travis Ford will be the next KY coach or perhaps Darrin Horn. VCU is becoming a a great team even with the coaching changes. ;);)

Cheers,

Phil
