Hi guys and gals New guy here and I figured I would post some pic's of my current set-up. It sounds pretty good for the money spent but I've been thinking about a few changes. Not sure if I will work with this room or not as we have a spare room right now that's just a catchall for stuff we don't use. If I clean out that room I might use it for a AV room but it's small (approx. 9X12). Anyway here is what I have now:

That looks good and should work in a 9 x 12 room IMHO.

You speakers are small wall mount correct. If they sound okay to you, then they should fit perfect in a 9 x12 room.

I like your cabinet fro the equipment; looks very nice.

Yes I think it sounds OK but like most things I know it could sound better. As for the entertainment center it's a love hate relationship, my wife loves it and I hate it (mostly because I cannot even find a 32in LCD that will fit). This is why I was thinking about using the spare room, thinking 42'' or 46'' LCD.............

Welcome! Keep it up, looks good. I've seen people do crazy things in rooms smaller than 9x12, so anything is possible.

I have current den TV in an Amoire cabinet. It is a 37" LCD and it barely fits with the cabinet doors open. I have to open the from doors to adjust AVR or BD right now. However, I am working on approval for a repalcement Salamander AVR cabinet and a 60" plasma. First step of the approval has gone well, wish me luck. I am also considering a larger, maybe 52", Sony XBR1080p LCD (current is 1080i, but still has very good PQ).

No, not a new camera. I was not in a picture mood for the first pic's really and didn't really pay attention to the camera settings. On the session that included the MA's I manually set the camera and used the lens that came with the camera, a Nikon D40 with the Nikon's 18-55mm lens. If your looking for a camera the D40 is nice because you get great results and a bit smaller body compared to a std. SLR. The only drawback is that the focus motors for the D40 are in the lens's. So you would need lens's that are AF-S or AF-I and that makes them more expensive. But you get the 18-200mm lens and your covered for most situations unless you need or want specialty lens's like wide angle, fish-eye, or macro. But once you have good lens's you will not need any additional, unlike home audio in photography less is more IMHO. For some good reading take a look at some of Ken Rockwell's review's. wow they are very good shots. and yeah thumbs up on the Nikon! I'm getting ready to get a new camera for work and I'm scratching my head over models but definitely gonna be a Nikon.
