Emotiva isn't good becoz it's not in a mag, it's not in a mag becoz it isn't good...

My orginal thread title (If Emotiva is that good..) was meant as a legitimate question, but also one that I knew would generate a certain amount of backlash.
I ASKED a question.
I DID NOT make a statement.

John
Really?? :confused:Below is the title of your thread. I don't see a question.
Looks more like a statement... one you claim you didn't make.

"Emotiva isn't good becoz it's not in a mag, it's not in a mag becoz it isn't good... "John

I see only a provocative title.
So... this thread was your sixth post... and you claim not to be a Troll?

A few posts back, John states what his thread title was. Mike C changed it last night. So, it was a question in the beginning.

The thread title was CHANGED by one of the Mods! NOT what I originally posted!

Hey, John. I don't consider you a troll. You just got wrapped up in a thread that went south. To be fair, I do think that you got the ball rolling downhill with some of your comments. :p

If I may, I'd suggest that everyone just let this one go. I think that this forum is great because of how helpful the people are and how (almost always) friendly the place is.

I'll admit to that Adam! And if I've offended anyone, I do apologize.

I joined this forum because of its good reputation and I hope to be a regular poster and contributor. I almost thought about walking away, but I'm not the type of guy that backs out of anything.

I used to own an Emotiva amplifier and I will say that it was built like a tank!! It sounded very good and had plenty of power. In my opinon Emotiva is a great company and rely on recommendations by people like us that take the time and research a product on these forums before making a purchase. Even though I do not own any Emotiva products any longer, I still continue to recommend them all the time. Take time and research them here on Audioholics, AVS, HTF etc etc and you will learn a lot about them. In fact, give them a call and they will answer all your questions.

Just curious. What made you decide to get rid of your Emo gear?

Only if you continue to admit to reading Absolute Sound.
I only sometimes read it for the music reviews. Yeah, that's it. :D And some of the reviews, especially of cables and amplifiers, are good for a cackle or three.

I was waiting for the UMC-1 to come out and got tired of waiting, and took a chance on the Pioneer SC-05. The SC-05 is plenty of power to drive my easy load Ascend 340SE's to ear spliting levels! So I sold off the LPA-1. If I ever decide to go with separates, I will be going back to Emotiva for sure.

Seems human nature does not change. People obviously like a dust up! Just look at the hits in 24 hours.
Gotta try to figure a way to do get those views on the next thread I start!

John, I've got one question for you....

Do you work for Emotiva? Because if you do, you sir, are a genius!!!:D

If this were an internet marketing ploy you could be bragging to your boss that now a quick search of the Audioholics forums using the keyword "Emotiva" brings your thread to the top. And I'm sure it will be making it's way up the Google hit list as well.

Well done sir, well done.

Thank you Slappy, but no I don't work for anyone in the electronics business. It all just came about by an "emotivanally (i.e emotionally) innocent inquiry about why something is.

I like your way of thinking btw...reverse psychology is a wonderful tool and employed more than what one may think. (which is the point of course).

Solid point! Let me see if I can use that, too.

Cute, single, desperate women shouldn't date Adam.

[Hmmm. I suppose that could backfire if no one disagrees. :D]

Be careful of the desperate part.....

Quite frankly we simply don't have orgasms over audio products like some of the esoteric mags tend to no matter how good the products are
Are you sure???

I've been noticing some strange "smudges" on product pictures in some of Tom's reviews.
One can only speculate on the true nature of these spots.

(and I ain't buying, "It's the kids dirty fingerprints" excuse.)
