Folks, I have begun my prep for a colon scope that will be done tomorrow. So far, it is not too bad, but I hate the taste of Gatorade mixed with Miralax............YUK! However, I must endure it in order to do the colon scope. If you don't mind, please say a prayer that everything will go ok and nothing will be found to be cancerous. As always, it would be much appreciated. This is a bit scary to be quite honest.

Cheers,

Phil

That sounds unpleasant, even if they don't find anything wrong with you. And let us all hope that there isn't anything bad to be found. Good luck!

Phil,

Good luck with this, my dad has had the unfortunate pleasure of having this done a couple times. He said it wasn't as bad as he had expected. I think he said the drink was worse than the actually procedure.

Had one of those about three years ago. The prep part was the worst part of the whole procedure. Good luck!;)

Drinking the mixture is most unpleasant. Of course, once it starts working will be no walk in the park either. Thanks for your kind words.

Matt, this is my second one. It is true that the mixture is worse than the procedure. Looking forward to getting it over with. Hope your Dad got good news following his procedure. Thanks for your kind words.

I agree croseiv. From what I remember, the prep was the hardest part of the entire process. Drinking the mixture seems to never end. The taste is awful and it makes my stomach hurt. Hope you got good results.

Lmao..........it won't be soon enough. I only have (1) more bottle of Gatorade to go. However, it all is working on me if you know what I mean. Lets just say it won't be long. I am so hungry right now, that I could eat a horse. Still have a good ways to go before I can eat.

Cheers,

Never even knew they were there.

After having some problems (minor) I had two polyps cut out about a year and a half ago at 38 years old. Good thing too. The one was about to go real bad on me according to the doctor. Went back and got scoped again a year later and I was free of polyps. This time the wait is three years to get it done again. The cool thing is that my mom or dad have never had it done and it scared my mom into making appointments for the both of them. My dad was thrilled. Well she didn't have anything but my dad had a stubborn one that had to be removed by a different procedure at a different time and place. My dad was thrilled. Anyway His was just in a "corner" that is hard to get to but turned out not to be cancerous. My dad was thrilled. As thrilled as a Pennsylvania Dutch man gets anyway...:D

Phil,

You be fine. Just think...That first meal afterwards always tastes awsome!:D

Prayer said, buddy.

I've never had that mixture of liquids, but I did throw down three (or maybe it was five) large bowls of All-Bran BranBuds one day just out of curiosity. Me thinks that the two have about the same effect. :)

Very interesting story there Doug. Like you, I had (2) polyps the first go around and noe turned out to be an issue. Hopefully, I will not have any at all this time. If it turns out that I do, perhaps none will be cancerous. Glad to hear you, as well as, your Mom and Dad are all fine. Thanks for your words of encouragement.

I just got done drinking all of the mixture I can. Just can not drink anymore of it. It surely has been more painful this time so far. Lord, I hope it is over.

Cheers,

Phil

I am sure it does. But, this stuff is making my stomach hurt badly. Quite nauseated as we speak. Seemed so much easier the first time. Thanks for your prayer. It truly is much appreciated.
