I wouldnt mind so much if Oklahoma won the national title.....as long as it isnt this year:D Im for the Gators first, then all other FL teams. After that i like teams like Ohio State, LSU, Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina. Im not a big fan of Penn State, Notre Dame, and USC. I have no reason what so ever for not cheering for PS, ND, or USC....other than some of my coworkers in the past, were avid fans of those teams and talked too highly of them. I like college ball way more than pro ball.

Peace,
Tommy

I think I've had a bad football day. So far, only one team I wanted to win did so; Iowa. Being a Clemson fan, I just really don't like USC....either one of them, for that matter. I was really pulling for JoePa, but in my head figured the condoms would take it. Boy, the ACC has stunk it up this bowl season. Only one more hope and that's a distant one, I think, in the Orange.

Oh, well. I still have hope that Florida will take it to the Oakies.:D My other hopes are that "Bama takes it to the Utes and that Texas beats Ohio State. I really don't care for either, but I really don't like OSU. Sorry, Buckeye!

At least my Tigers are undefeated in roundball....for now! 13-0. Could stay that way untill they meet the Suck-Heels at the Dean Dome. I don't see the Heels losing too many this year plus Clemson has never won there.:(

Yeah, I was one of them:eek: I watched the last quarter or so of the Holiday Bowl. The Ducks looked good! I was pulling for them! Well, so far, the Hookies are hanging in ther against Cinci. If they win the ACC will be 4-6. Biscuits.

I know 5-0 you can't argue with that, but....:p anyways!. To bad South Carolina stunk the joint out in their bowl game or the SEC would still be unbeaten. Now if Ole Miss, Alabama and the Gators win their games the SEC will finish 8-1, with another Nation Championship and thats not to shabby;)

I like the SEC. But it's probably wishful thinking that Ole Miss and/or Florida will win their games. For the BCS...as with the PAC-10, Oklahoma has too much team speed for the Gators. But it should be a good game.

Bill, are you the only Canuck up there with a southern accent? ;)

Happy New Year!

Nope just drive a few miles out of the big smoke and you'll see plenty:D I guess for no particular reason but in my younger days I became a fan of the "Bears" pursuit of the wins record and I've followed the Tide ever since:).

Are you serious, RJ? Have you watched the Gators? Man, they are fast! No doubt it should be a great matchup. Clemson was obviously faster than Nebraska yesterday, but we all see how that went. At least we had a pretty good defense. They laid the wood to the Husker's offense quite a bit. Gotta hand it to them, though; they kept getting up! Clemson's offense just stunk. Two words; Puh thetic. When you score 21 points and the DEFENSE is responsible for 14 of them, well...

I can't believe I'm saying this (I sound just like a Carolina Gamecock fan:eek:) but wait till next year. We get rid of the loser quarterback, keep James Davis for another year (hopefully!) and have a good group coming in. Time will tell.;)

Go, 'Bama! Go Gators!

I did see the Gators in their last game. They did impress me with overall team speed, but not quite as much at all positions as the Sooners...of which I watched a couple of games. But I've been known to be wrong on more than one occasion.

I thought the defense/turnovers led to all the Tigers points. That Clemson QB is a pitiful thing. But yeah, team speed means nothing if you can't complete a pass. (That's something Oklahoma can do.) That was a terribly under-achieving team this year.

I just think that Oklahoma is a tiny bit faster and more athletic at most positions. For certain it will be a great game. The wildcard for me in the game is Tebow. That guy is Superman. If it's possible, he'll will the Gators to win. But my pick stands...Oklahoma 42 - Gators 34.

How about LSU beating up on Georgia Tech? I knew they had it in them. Maybe they'll end the season ranked. That'd be sweet. Game gave some hope for the future - the Tigers can still kick some butt when they have a decent QB. Jefferson looked great in the position, especially for a freshman.

And the USC game was much more of a blowout than I had hoped for. I would have loved to see Pa whip them. And how about Taylor Mays being one of the most overrated players in the draft? I saw him whiff a few times, as well as fail to wrap up or even knock down a QB he had a perfect bead on. Plus an egregious helmet-to-helmet missile hit that also took out his own teammate.

I'm still sore that Texas isn't in the championship game and Oklahoma is. Oklahoma lost to Texas - at home!

Bryant was a GREAT coach. Where is he on the wins list now? 3rd?

The Tiger's defense led to all their points, but they only actually scored two TD's. One was a tip, pick up and score when the qb was pitching out to the back (wow! what a defensive play!) and the other was a pick-6. A fumble recovery (or was it an interception:confused:) by the D gave the Tigers another turnover that led to the lone offensive TD. Harper actually threw a perfect pass to the speedster Jacoby Ford in the endzone. It was a thing of beauty.

Harper just made some really bad decisions, especially near the end. You don't take a sack with time running down and the game on the line. A better throw to C.J. Spiller in the end zone and the game would have been over, also. It was close, but a little behind him which allowed the defensive back to make a play on the ball. Had it been Ford or Kelly, they may have made the catch anyway, but Spiller is just an average receiver.

Clemson just did not execute on offense with any consistency. When Harper threw the ball well, receivers were dropping balls. When they were open he missed them. I know that Nebraska had a weak pass defense so CU tried to exploit that, but their strength is running the ball. I can't figure out why they didn't run more.

Harper was a huge disappointment to Tiger fans this year. ACC QB of the year last year and talk of him being in the Heisman race this year, he went down like cheap lard. The guy is just a wuss. He obviously does not want to get hit. He had his bell rung in the Alabama game and he was never the same after that.

My prediction on the title game: Fla 31, Oak 28. Oaklahoma is for real, but the Gators sure finished strong and you are right about Tebow. He may have a chip for not winning the Heisman again, also:p Can't wait!

Ole Miss sure made some bookies mad today!

Iowa didn't just whup South Carolina. They pulled down their pants, then branded an "I" on the left cheek for the offense and a Hawkeye emblem on the right cheek for the defense. The Hawkeyes owned both sides of the ball.

Utah and Alabama face off tonight. I don't see a Cinderella story for Utah!

My crow was served to me seasoned with lavender, anise, garlic and other Mediterranean seasonings. I ate it with glee.

IMHO, (definitely) Utah (and maybe USC) deserve(s) a share of the title. No disrespect meant to FL and OK--neither of which will finish undefeated.
