I was looking a the Definitivie, Polk, I think the higher end Dynaudio stuff is out of my range. Want full range speaker, has to be black.

I am not brand sensitive, just want a good one.

It's big but I liked it and it sounded good. What are your current speakers?

So are you selling the one in the center or the bookshelf speakers? I thought the AV123 x-ls were bookshelf speakers and the AV123x-cs was the center.

I am running a cheap kenwood as a center right now with two bose 301's that I have had forever as front l/r. The surrounds are two kenwood bookshelf speakers. I just want to replace the center for now. I am using a Denon AVR688.

So how much for it, one of my friends off of here said he knew you from the forum.

Is the grill metal or cloth?

Do you know the dimensions and weight?

Sorry for all the questions, have to make sure it's going to fit ;)

Your right, it's the X-CS I have for sale, I'm keeping my X-LS for the bedroom.

I'll take $125 shipped for it.

I think that's too big, I think the depth will kill me. I will have to measure when I get home, that and ask the wife ;)

I have a Def Tech CLR2002 I need to sell. It was too big for my cabinet and I bought a Mythos to wall mount.

The CLR2002 is brand new and never been registered. It's black. The warranty card still smells of new paper. If you're in the NY/NJ area, we can meet, I can drop off, or you can pick up.

I dunno what shipping on this beast would run, but I'd let it go for $350 + whatever shipping would cost. Feel free to make an offer if you think that's too high for it.

I also have the BP1.2x surrounds, also being replaced by Mythos Gems. The BP1.2x are big, I wanted something for stands and bought the Mythos stands for the Gems. This pair is also brand new and never used, black version. I don't have the box for these, but everything else is included. Also best for local pickup. $250 + ship, feel free to make an offer.
I would only be interested in the center. There is a CLR 2500 new on ebay selling I know it's like $900 retail but let me kind of get an idea of what it brings new and I will get back with you. I think it's probably more than I could spend.

Is that too much speaker for my denon avr 688?

Is it possible to wall mount with some L brackets or something, how much does it weigh?

If you were to wall mount it how much clearance would you need from the wall?
When it says powered sub does that mean plug it into an A/C outlet?

You could easily put some brackets up and even cut a piece of MDF for a small shelf to put the center on. It is a weighty beast at 32lbs. That's why I chose the Mythos center. I'm going to wall mount it, but I rent so I don't want to put something that heavy into the wall.

The dimensions are 21" W x 12" D x 6-3/4" H. Don't believe Def Tech's site if you look at it, the 2002 does not have a subwoofer built-in.

The 688 puts out 75W/chan according to Denon's site. Within this speaker's spec, but it might be underpowered. Maybe someone else can chime in with a recommendation about that.

The 2300 and higher models have a subwoofer built in that requires its own AC power connection, yes. The 2002 doesn't need that, since it has no sub.

I am flexible on the price, and depending on where you are located or willing to travel the shipping is a non-issue. I would also minimize the shipping cost if I can't flat out remove it, maybe I can ship it through my job without a problem.

Let me know. It's more important that this kick@$$ speaker go to someone who needs it and I get something for it so my wife doesn't kill me for buying too many. =)

Well I definetely need it, my small kenwood sucks. I just hope my receiver can power it. We also rent so I don't want to put huge holes in the wall. I want you to get your money's worth out of it, I don't want you to take a beating on it. I just don't know what we can afford right now. We would have to ship it, I live in KY.

I wanted to put Matt's AV123 in my cabinet but it is way too deep, and I would have to have a huge shelf to mount it.

Does the speaker have any port holes in the back? Could it be placed right up against the wall?

It does have an inlet for the speaker wires, but you would need at least a gap of space required to run the wire. My 12g wire, for example, would need about 0.25" from the wall to drop the line.

To some zip code in KY, USPS says $26 to ship it, plus $7.50 for $550 insurance, and I'd be willing to let it go for $300 without a problem, so $333.50 would work for me. It says media mail for something this size is $14, but it's also about double the shipping time. Patience is a virtue and a savings. =)

Just giving you options in case you really want it.

You might check out the Infinity Beta 250 or 360. I love my 250 and it's dirt cheap.

It could even tide you over.
