MonsterMiniGolf, I used to work as a file clerk for a lawfirm many years ago and have to say , please tread carefully with what you type on this thread and any others. I guarantee Monster is quite aware of this thread and has their croonies , copying every post on here. To me it appears that by agreeing with what others are writing and Spuds website, that it can be classified as a form of harrassment, and used against you in any pending litigation. I hope there is a lawyer on this site to correct me if I am wrong. I jsut don't want to see anything that will dissuade you from your final objective and think what you are doing is a great thing. Just keep an eye out on what you post on an open forum, and I hope you beat them. Also get in touch with Kurt at his cable company for pointers and advice, he was a lawyer first and foremost, and beat Monster at their own game (and he owns a cable company).

I don't see how any of this could be construed as harassment?

Calling any person or corporation any name either slight or large is harrassment. hence the term "Bully" you have to remember we live in a time where you can sue for any reason and Monster will use every trick they can. Also the cartoon picture of Noel Lee falliing off his segway can be twisted by a competent lawyer as slanderous and making fun of a person. Just a heads up. Any depiction of a person used in a derogatory or slanderous way is always subject to litigation, even a cartoon characterization of a living person.

I just don't want MonsterMinigolf to say anything on an open forum that could be misconstrued in any way shape or form, for them or any forum members (including Spuds website) which I enjoyed.

BTW spuds there are a couple email links you forgot add after Monsters corprate leaders names. ;)

Just visited your ebay auction... not quite sure how it works as all I really wanted to do was donate some cashola... bid $5 but now I have to wait 9 days? Should make it a buy-it-now maybe... maybe make 3 different prices to choose from ? $1, $5, and $20 or something like that.

Anyway... keep up the good fight and I will spread this as far as I can.

As for ebay, they are $1. increments, but there are 99,999 items available. So the people who want to donate $5. for instance, they hit buy-it-now, and it how many you'd like to buy. Thank you very much for your support.
As for slander, we 100% agree. When we encourage people to write letters, we always encourage them to "Tell them how you feel". Adding, "And how those feelings may affect their decisions on whether to purchase their products, or not". We feel it is very important for people to express "Their Own" opinions, good OR bad, and never to feed them our own opinions.
Further, we specifically instruct people to be professional and courteous, never abusive.
You are correct, slander is something we want NO part of. Luckily, the general public (and their opinions) have generally been in our favor and have needed no coaching.

What a coincidence.:D

Just today's newspaper has an article from a Florida newspaper citing 2 cases where the company went after people for slander when they posted comments on the Internet about a hotel room condition or in the 2nd case a cosmetic surgery clinic.:(

Well, I had been waiting for a topic worthy of my 1000 post here on Audioholics.

I fully support your effort and hope that after you win, a countersuit will put Monster Cable in its place. I hope the judge puts an end to these frivolous lawsuits by Monster Cable and throws the book at them!!!

By the way, I would have suggested getting Kurt, from Blue Jeans Cable to help with your effort. It seems that his one letter here on Audioholics deterrred them from any further pursuit. Is this still true?

Well I sent them a e-mail yesterday, and it's a true story. I've read else where about this company and their bullying. I was out looking for a sub Y splitter cable and BB had one but it was $19.95. It was a very robust, heavy duty, gold plated, good looking product, infact $19 didn't seem to bad for it. But because of the bad practices of Monster Cable I was really uneasy with the thought of buying it. So kept looking around the store and in the PC section found a generic Y spliter for $5. Looks cheap but at $5 it is, so I bought that one, it also works okay. So I sent them an e-mail telling them just that.

Blue Jeans Cable

It seems as people join our fight, and the emails pour in, that more than half of them recommend speaking with Blue Jeans Cable. I going to take a minute to let everyone know that Kurt from Blue Jeans Cable has indeed been a wellspring of support and information, and we'd like to use this forum to publically thank Kurt, and to let all of you know what an enormous supporter he has been. When I read all of the posts, letters and emails from supporters telling their stories about how instead of buying a MC product, that instead they bought a __(any other brand)____, I can't help think that they'd have been best off with a Blue Jeans Cable.....
Or a Kimber Cable, as it should also be noted that Ray from Kimber Cable was generous enough to spend time with us on the phone, assisting and advising, and that he also made a generous donation to our cause.
Thank you Ray and Kurt! As our little army grows in numbers, it is only a matter of time before it is them against the world!

Channel 10 news, RI

The interview on channel 10 news last night in RI went well. The crew presented an intelligent, fair, impartial view of the facts, and it looked great.
MC issued a statement presenting their side, and it came off as professional, legal, and corporate. I've got to give NBC credit for keeping it impartial.
Still, the outpouring of emails we received immediately following the broadcast were 100% supportive, without a single negative email. We are VERY happy with the broadcast, and as this thing picks up steam, we've got several more television appearances planned in several other markets. We, (meanining, with all of YOU as a collective effort), have accomplished a lot this week in keeping this thing snowballing, but let's not rest on our laurels. We have let a ton of people know, but the world is a VERY big place and there is still MUCH to do, and your continued support in forwarding the message and spreading the word is imperative, and appreciated. You've all been so helpful, and any of you can call on us at any time so that we can return the favor!
Here is a link to the news broadcast.

Congrats on the interview Patrick, here's hoping future televised interviews, enlightens tens of thousands on what a twat waffle Noel Lee and his company are. I also hope that at some point the judicial system of California realizes how frivelous these lawsuits are and fines them and has a cosnulting team investigate their finances and off shore banking practices, to avoid paying taxes.

Hmmm can I start a company called Monster Coat hanger cables (make it look purdy and overprice it by 1,000%)

I think you looked very good in that interview and that this clearly demonstrates to public that if there's one company in the world that has the correct name.... it's Noel Lee's....
It really is a Monster

You are really doing a good job there and please keep up this fight
Now you have people from all corners of the world standing behind you, and I'm thinking about how we can address the facebook crowd to initiate even more support to your case and to ;provide as much active support as possible.....

Any creative ideas? Something that really makes a difference

I suggested to all members on the facbook group to throw away their Monster products, but that doesn't make a dime of a difference to this big company..... Well if the group were 50.000 members, now we are 196....

Must be something better than that....

Probably the coat hangers would need to use cryogen treated pure 99.9999999999% teflon insulated OFC copper, that makes for less crimps in the shirts.... what we call high-end coat hangers

Or are you suggesting to use coat hangers for speaker cables?

In response to Haraldo's Facebook comment...

("Any creative ideas? Something that really makes a difference

I suggested to all members on the facbook group to throw away their Monster products, but that doesn't make a dime of a difference to this big company..... Well if the group were 50.000 members, now we are 196....

We may only have 196 members so far, but the question is......Have 196 letters gone out to the MC camp? It's one thing to be a member of a group who's cause you support, but it's another thing entirely to be an ACTIVE member of that group. I sometimes wonder is MC is even remotely AWARE of the unrest they are causing with their customer base. I mean, WE know that their lifetime customers are jumping ship by the hundreds, but if THEY are not aware, then our efforts are falling on deaf ears. I firmy believe that if enough truthful, honest messages got through to the MC people, that they'd HAVE to estimate a dollar amount that it is worth, especially in the Christmas buying season.

So, how can Facebook (as well as ALL of the other forums....) help?
1) EVERYONE needs write letters and/or emails. They need to be sent NOT only to MC's legal dept, but ALSO to their staff, their PR people, their marketing people, etc...(as well as their retail outlets) What I fear is this....It is their legal dept who earns their money by carrying on these lawsuits. So, it is in their best interest of self preservation to simply delete the emails, and not let anyone else see them, or understand that their is even a problem.
When Christina sent a letter to Noel Lee personally, it was intercepted and responded to by their in-house counsel David Tognotti. Mr Lee never even saw the email! Therefore, there is a good chance that he is being KEPT unaware of how the actions of his hired soldiers (and their apparent power of attorney) from just how much bad blood their actions are causing his once respected brand. (I have to believe that he at least STARTED OUT with good intentions).
So in short (or long at this point....) encouraging EVERYONE to write these letters is key. 194 active members is better than 50,000 inactive ones.
2) The second most important thing that can be done is to KEEP SPREADING THE WORD! It is easy to get riled up and start something, but it is human nature to then sit back and watch it wane, then lose interest. Christina and myself are working around the clock forwarding this info to more and more news sources, public forums, blogs, famous people, etc....and every day when we think we've reached everybody, we rack our brains and come up with more. You, the good people at audioholics have been EQUALLY diligent, and that is extremely commendable, because it's not even your fight. You are amazing.
But in response to to Haraoldo's Facebook comment......We have 196 member (and counting), each one of which more than likely has DOZENS of friends in THEIR own personal circles, who in turn have dozens more in THEIR individual circles. The power to reach people on Facebook is SO exponential, that we must use it to our advantage, and encourage our 196 members to tell their friends, and THEIR friends, and so on (Remember the Clairol commercial? OK, now I'm showing my age:).
It doesn't take many generations of this strategy to actually BE 50,000 strong.
Having said that, I am BRAND NEW to Facebook, and do not know the ins and outs yet. Was it Haraldo who stated our Facebook group? If so, let's open up a dialogue on how to use Facebook to make our awareness go viral. If you like, I can be reached in the office on Monday at 401-454-8100, or on my cel before that at 401-486-3636. Or by email anytime at patrick@monsterminigolf.com

the monster mess

I've been reading so much concerning this mess. We were put here on this earth to work with each other and it seems someone(monster cable) think they are so much better then the rest of us. There is a Biblical response to this. It's called Reaping and Sowing. What you "Sow" into this world is what you will "Reap" in the end. The Lord does not look favorably upon people who take advantage of others. I try to look at things from this perspective as it helps me to understand why people do what they do. We must pray for this company(Monster Mini Golf) to overcome this dilemna. Mr Lee will have to pay for his wrongdoings as we all have to when the time comes. So in the midst of all this discussion say a prayer for them. The power of prayer is tremendous.
