my hopes were too high.. I thought a high end brand subwoofer would blow me away because I never listened to a (according to my budget an "expensive" subwoofer") I'm thinking of selling it for $250 and save up for a real subwoofer like an svs

..I can't help it i'm a bass head I want and need the bass, I want it to penetrate my bones lol. I have the receiver's bass management set to sub and mains to small with the bass at 10db. I know you may think it working the mains to hard but my set up is a 2.2 ( the other LFE is the onkyo speaker.I read an a thread before about how a totally different subwoofer might the clarity of the low frequencies but I dont really care because im a bass head and i just want more spl) so the mains get according to the manual 115watts rms to each of my sony SS-f7000 floorstanding speaker. I tried a 5.1 set up but it the towers would distort because of less watts, and the receiver would also heat up quick so more energy is loss to heat.
