Thank you westcott and I do realize the inherent nature of bass frequencies....but I also want to protect the cabinet from the floor from any rattles or anything like that....These are old warehouse floors and have some rather ruff spots here and there...so I was wondering if there was anything else aside from 2 Grammas...I know full well that there well be no 'isolation' of the bass....

I used these ( IsoNode)and they worked well until I set on my sub one night. The extra weight exploded them. I think I will order some more though. They looked better than my gramma pads.

nice setup, I run an all polk Rti setup also, add a pair of rti4s to your gear list and we would have near identical systems. One thing I suggest is centering that center channel under screen. Also have you thought about pushing more power to your 12s. I bought a D-Sonic Magnum 1000S(525wx2@8 ohm), and now run my 12s off it and they sing an awesome song. Before that I ran them off of Outlaw Audio M2200 monos, so if youre looking to get the most out of them I recommend a power amp.

Yeah an amp will be my next place too look but I have got to cool it with the spending for a while here....the 3808 was a nice upgrade but I definitely need to put some more power across the front channels or at least to the rti12's...so time will tell but I like the Sunfire TGA-5200/5400....but now those have been phased out...I will worry about it when I actually have the money to spend...

And thank you Paradigm....I will give those a shot and not sit on the sub....;)

Edit: Actually Paradigm....do you think those could handle a PB13....it weighs 155 and these are rated at 40lbs each....should I try like 6-8 of them in that case??? How heavy is your Servo-15...

My servo is 120lbs and I just used 4 of them. This time I will order 8 of them and see if it holds up better. I weigh right at 200lbs so me and the sub went over the 40lb limit by quite a bit.

Now that I look at these, I don't think they are the ones I had. The ones I had were blue and about 4'' wide and 3'' tall.

Let me keep looking.

I used to use hockey pucks a lot to curb rattles when doing festivals and raves. That might be an inexpensive thing you could try.

Are hockey pucks just hard rubber? I live in Texas so I have no idea.

Ha....I will have to check the local Sports Authority....although who knows if, in Houston, they will have hockey pucks of all things....but it seems like a simple solution...I will also check out those other pads that you recommended to me Paradigm...anything to get it off of that towel...lol...

Of course, you can always get hockey pucks online. A similar idea are the thick rubber stoppers that you can buy at hardware stores.

Small System Update...

Nothing too excitingly new....just finally got an appropriate cabinet to house all my gear....looks much better than the stacked Ikea bookshelves previously. Now the debate I have is considering going the route of a DIY set-up using JL 13w7 and an EP2500 in place of the Ultra and possibly a dual sub in this configuration. Who knows......time shall tell...

Thanks westcott, although I do believe the last photos has all the same paint and art....perhaps the better digital camera I took the picture with make it look that much better...;) :D Much appreciated nonetheless...

I agree - that is a beautiful cabinet! I'm looking for something just like that. What brand did you get?
