The fact that Sportscenter junkies think Favre will end up with the Bucs is almost ironclad proof that he won't.

Those guys rarely get things right. They're the same doofuses who are turning Manny's "if they trade me, they trade me. I play ball and I'll do it anywhere" comments into "The Sox front office is getting so frustrated with Manny, and Manny wants out!" They're nuts, and dumb to boot.
So very true. Sometimes, I think they are just picking a side in order to stir a reaction out of us. You know, to keep things interesting I guess. No one really knows where he will end up, but I personally think it will be the Bucs. It really does not make much of a difference to me as I am a Chargers fan.

Cheers,

Phil

The team I would love to see Favre go to would be the Chicago Bears. I think Chicago and the Jets could benefit the most from Favres services. Chicago and Green Bay have a history which would make for some good television. Considering the fact that Chicago is in Green Bay's division I think they would be pretty stupid to trade him to Chicago unless they offer a sweet deal to them like a first rd pick. It would be such a circus if this would happen, very slim chance though.
Ain't gonna happen. Like it or not the only way the Packer will let Favre go is in a trade to a team in another division, or conference.

MLB, NFL, NCAA Football

You guys must love baseball that much if you're talkin about football in the middle of summer. For the life of me, I can't get into baseball until the playoff. Go Dodgers/Angels!! First, I'm an NBA fan and then College Football and then the NFL. (sucks not to have an NFL team here in LA) Oh and Tiger is out for the year, so I cant really watch golf unless it's a major.

You guys will find some way to give it away in the playoffs again :D. It's the curse of Marty!!!!!
Eli and the rest of the Giants should be thanking their lucky stars for the "Curse of Marty".

NO WAY would they have beat a healthy Chargers team in that Super Bowl.

Everyone said that about the Patriots.

Until the game was actually played, and the Patriots ended up with the smaller number.

Any given Sunday and all that. But the Pats would have been crushed in the AFC Champoinship game, had the Chargers been healthy.

You're welcome for Drew Brees by the way.

I wish people would give it up over the Belicheck cheating thing. Are people so naive that they think their own team has not done this as well, they simply did not get caught. If I were a coach, I would probably do the same thing. When that much money and pride is on the line you go for any competitve advantage you can get. If I were the Pats, I would be embarassed for getting caught because now you ruined it for everyone else (since everyone will be watching for it now).

How come no one was cited for cheating when the teams hired lip readers to read coaches to gain an advantage????? Sounds like a bunch of whining.

Thats a pretty bold statement to make considering the Partriots were undefeated going into the superbowl. The Pats were the most dominant football team all year....until Michael Strahan and the NY Giants defense STOMPED THEM OUT!! I do not know what I liked better, the Giants win or watching Billichick and his massive ego deflate to a size of a pea after Plaxico's touchdown from Manning. :p:p:p

The chargers have a better shot at beating the patriots this year. I am not sure what changes the chargers have made but their offense is always going to be good. The patriots had a huge loss in their secondary with Asante Samuel. The pats defense is aging too (their team in general)...I would think the chargers offense would match up quite well to their defense but I guess one could say the same for the Pats as well.

That was a tough Super Bowl for me. I refused to watch it, because I will always HATE that whiny little punk Eli, but I hated the Pats almost as much.

The offense will definitely be improved. Chambers will have a whole training camp under his belt compared to coming in at the middle of the season last year. Jackson showed at the end of the season that he can be a go-to receiver. Buster Davis should make some plays if he can stay healthy. We also added Devon Hester for another running threat.

The defense should be better also. Although I seriously doubt Cromartie can match his INT total from last season, he'll be better. Antoine Cason is in camp and looking good. But Jyles Tucker and Brandon Siler have been impressing the coaches with their improvements this year. Shawne and Shaun should dominate on the outside, as usual. Weddle should be able to improve on his outstanding rookie season. Hopefully Jamal Williams can stay healthy. That guy is an absolute BEAST up front. But this is his 11th season, and his knees aren't getting any younger.

If the Bolts live up to their potential this year, they should absolutely CRUSH other teams. I honestly believe we'll have the AFC West locked up by the 13th game of the season.

Here's a shot from training camp. Man, I can't wait!!!!!
