Jim, a couple of things to consider. I don't know if they will work with your tastes, budget, room size, etc.
The ideal setup in front would be to have 3 identical speakers, at identical height. The present higher mounting of the tv will probably allow this. If I was given this setup, that is what I would personally be aiming for.
Where does the rack go then? Mine is off to the side, and I use a very affordable and long Mono HDMI. Of course, if you don't yet have a converting receiver, long runs of multiple cables are not so cool. I do not recollect which pieces you are upgrading, or when.
One nice thing about having a rack off to the side is to not have all those LEDs possibly distracting from the viewing experience. (When my stuff was up front, I liberally used window tint and electrical tape). I use Studio Tech modular rack, and I think its a great value at $200. You can add or take away racks to be future proofed, with options of 7" or 9" shelving. I stuck my HD and BD player on the same shelf, but used some vinyl feet to give a tiny bit more ventilation between the two.
What do you think about 3 identical speakers up front?
You'll be as matched as humanly possible, and will not suffer from lobing issues as with the great majority of "center speakers". Thought it depends on the speakers you choose, my guess is that most bookshleves not only cost less than most center speakers, they perform better as well. If you can pull off what Im talking about, it might look very cool!! (operative word = might*).
