Alright, ive recently acquired an old set of HallMark Sound KEW 3 (apparently they were affiliated with Dayton back in the day??) loudspeakers. The woofers surrounds are completely gone, and sound as if they have been blown as well. I dont know very much about the crossovers, as i cant find any info online about the speakers themselves, so i dont know what would pair well with them.
Im looking to rebuild them for my brother to use for stereo purposes, and im wondering if it would be best to re-foam them (they could possibly not be blown, is there a way to check this?), or to find a nice woofer to match (i know its impossible to "match", but come close).
I've got some pics of the guys, including crossovers. I was just wondering if you guys could give me an opinion on them, what would be the best course of action. They look beautiful and im sure they used to pound back in the day (although the owner wouldn't have pushed them what-so-ever), and would make a great first set of speakers.
Any help is most appreciated, i figured if they were old daytons, PE might have a nice replacement woofer that'll save me the trouble of re-foaming and (possibly) finding the woofers are blown.
Thanks alot guys!
Dustin
