Just bi-amp some more crap with the extra two ch.of the MPS:D
The Front Left is bi-amped, the Front Right is bi-amped, the Surround Left will be bi-amped, the Surround Right will be bi-amped, and the Center is TRI-Amped. I guess having more than enough amp channels is a good thing.

BTW, you would pay shipping on the XPA-5, not included, and it will weigh in at about 85 lbs, pretty much the same as my Rotel RMB-1095..

If an amp weighs less than 100lbs it's a girl amp and should not be owned by a man unless he has a lot of sugar in his pants!

So it will cost about $100 to ship, huh?

Ouch! Was that your idea of a poem?

You know the Outlaw Audio 200 WPC x 7 amp weighs less than 100 lbs, but I don't know of many girls who can lift 90 pounds.:D

Who's to say? The XPA-5 hasn't been released yet.

With any luck, your trial period will be over before the XPA-5 is released, then there won't be any decision to make.:D

Thanks a lot, man!:)

Is there another amp out there that is a multi-ch (5 or 7 ch) Mono-block design?

You second guess yourself more than anyone I know. If you got the cheaper one you would always wonder why you didnt get the best one. Call Lonnie and talk to him about both amps and then make up your mind once and for all.

Thanks, I might give Lonnie a call.

But it's a lot more fun hearing it from you guys, though.

Unless Lonnie pops back here on the forum and chime in.:D

ANYTIME, Lonnie!

Hey, I like my amps like I like my women...a good lookin' conversation piece with stellar performance and transparent character that comes in under 100lbs.:D

Well, I like mine with a little more meat.

Well...I keep telling myself that as I believe we have an excess calorie issue going on around here....ummm...I better not go there...damn life can suck...

I don't know if the Outlaw Audio amp is good looking though?:)

The Sunfire looks a little better.

But the Emotiva MPS-2 (& soon XPA-2) looks very sexy to me.

Having a little meat is always good.:D

So tell me, exactly why do you think I should keep the MPS-2?

Because it's BAD A$$?

Because it's more hardcore?

Because it weights 115 pounds?
Bragging rights for one... and also because it's 7 channels, and you know you will eventually go back to 7.1, so you won't have to get a different amp in the future when you change your mind again. Or you can use the extra channels to power a second zone in your house.
