Lexicon MC-12 and high end processors, you pay for the name.

Oh, and another thing. You clearly aren't here to help anyone. You are either here because you are paid to be, or you just enjoy trolling because you can't find a better way to spend your time. I see you made exactly 5 posts before starting this one (so you could start one I should say) and you never followed up on those, that wouldn't be entertaining would it?
I am helping people, I help them by saving them money or don't you se it as such? Again you think I am being paid for this which makes it even better. But I am off for a bit since I am not getting paid for this and have other things to do.

Ya I guess  but how many people would have bought the RV-5 fully knowing it is a HK receiver? Not one!
I disagree. Not everyone has the same views on this as you, Obviously! Someone might get the Lexicon for aesthetics, or the better retention of value. When one decides to upgrade down the path they will be able to sell the Lexicon for much more than the H/K. The warranty is only a tad longer, but it is longer.

Again what does that have to do with anything, its not a lexicon and people buy it think that it is a lexicon.
Tons and tons of companies do this because it is more cost effective than designing and producing their own product, that would raise the cost to the consumer. You didn't pay much attention in economics class in school did you?

Then why are you sticking up for the high end and lexicon?
I am not necessarily sticking up for them, I am just saying that your statements are not founded on much other than your opinion.

This thread needs to be closed and OP banned. Again. Nuff said.

I bet that the most expensive processor on the market uses plain copper traces on its PCB's. guess what so does my clock radio. Therefore its no better than my clock radio.

I am glad you think this is funny, because I do too. I don't really think you are being paid to do this. I really think you don't know how to pass the time, so you troll the internet. You seem to be pretty knowledgeable about audio, but your views are flawed or just made up for your amusement. If I am being trolled, I will admit I have nothing better to do but play games with you, it amuses me. I will feel slightly saddened if you are banned, but I won't lose any sleep I tell you.:D

Aesthetic, now you are learning. The high end does not hold better value as most think, the price might be a lot higher for what you can sell it for but from the original price you are still losing a ton of money.

Trust me the high end does not hold value, this is more true for 2ch equipment not home theater.

I never said anything about econimics, so you agree that a lot of the high end is rebadged.

Why? Good thing you can join a thread an have a discussion.

ARGH! Stop feeding the Trolls! Didn't you see the sign?
How am I a troll?

highfihoney, again you have done nothing to state why something in the highend would sound better. Even with exact proof that the RV-5 is a rebadged HK you still say nothing and by doing this it speaks volumes about you.

Seth called it right the 1st time,YOU REALLY ARE AN IDIOT,my interest is not in Lexicon, nor to discuss ANYTHING,my interest was to quickly expose the most hated troll on all of the AV forums, ive accomplished that too.

Well this thread is between a few who choose to see who stands higher on a soap box, so I will simply add a thought to one post who mentioned Rolex watches, in the high end watch market Rolex is BOSE.

You can see how little I know about high end watches. To the rest of us, however, it is a product purchased for things other than peformance value.

My own preference is for the Citizen solar powered watches which need neither batteries nor winding. Good performance, reasonable price.

I should make one more statement before I bow out of the thread. To me, at least, debating the issue is more compelling than attacking the poster. Obviously, nobody liked the post but the group's reaction was to insult the poster rather than to find flaws in the poster's argument. My own impression from reading the thread is that poster was probably right and nobody else liked the truth. That's an impression based only the behavior of those responding to the OP. I don't know if it's true or not. But you all should think about that a little.

A good forum should welcome controversy. If facts are wrong, they should be corrected. If opinions differ, then differing opinions should be offered. But just to insult the poster isn't the right approach in my opinion. If the poster is truly a troll, and that is not obvious to me from the post, then the right approach is to ignore him, not add to the trolling nature of the information.

Again you are doing the same thing, you call me a troll yet obviously I am not and you still have given nothing to state what I have posted is wrong.

Ok, I am going to forgo the argument and say I don't care.
Argument? So far I have posted my point and "proof" yet no one has offered anything in return.

Thank you, this happens everywhere on audio forums where anything high end can not be discussed. Everyone says there is such a huge sonic improvment yet they can not explain why, first it started with having a better power supply and pre amp section yet when I proved that wrong they move onto the next thing. I am not a troll since I want to find out infromation on high end products, is that so wrong?

Then where does this huge sonic improvment come from? Once again people disagree with me yet they offer nothing to defend their position.
