The PSB T45's and 55's mentioned in a previous post are also very highly regarded. PSB is a Canadian brand. A while ago the Canadian government used federal money to set up a national research laboratory to benefit Canadian companies. As a result, Canadian audio companies have access to top level government sponsored research on acoustics, audio electronics. Therefore, Canadian companies usually make very good speakers and amps at affordable prices.
PSB is one of them. So is Paradigm, Energy, etc.
Again, you have to audition them physically before you can decide what's right for you. If you want to consider the PSB's Image series, I would also take a look at the T65, the largest floorstander in the PSB Image series. Many people have given this floorstander very favorable reviews. And like I said previously, I am advocate for getting the largest floorstander you can get.
As to the sub, I haven't heard of the particular BIC sub you have. But BIC is not exactly an audiophile brand. You have to hear a real audiophile grade subwoofer to believe what a sub is really capable of.
I once heard a Velodyne DD series subwoofer, and boy, did my jaws drop. Previous to that, I had only owned an entry level Yamaha sub. That Velodyne DD series sub had such fast transient response, it just kept the bass pumping right along with the mains without ever skipping a beat. Once you hear it, you will never want to go back to a lesser sub. But it's an expensive investment. I wish I had the kind of disposable income to buy one.
